A tool for disassembling a pipe or tube from a push-to-connect fitting and a method is provided. The tool includes a first body and a second body pivotally coupled to the first body. A pair of first fingers are pivotally coupled to the first body, each of the first fingers having a first semi-circular surface, the first semi-circular surfaces cooperating to engage the pipe or tube adjacent the collar. A pair of second fingers are coupled to the second body, each of the second fingers having a second semicircular surface, the second semi-circular surfaces cooperating to engage the push-to-connect fitting. Wherein with the first body is rotated from a first position to a second position, the pair of first fingers moves a fitting collar axially relative to the pipe or tube.

Tool for disassembling connectors

A tool for securing a clamp having a band and a clip is provided. The tool includes a base member and a first handle coupled to the base member. A cinching handle is rotationally coupled to the base member adjacent the first handle. A crimping handle is rotationally coupled to the base member adjacent the first handle opposite the cinching handle. A holding means is provided for holding the clip. A tensioning means is provided for moving a tab end portion of the band through the clip, the tensioning means being operably coupled to the cinching handle. A crimping means is provided for locking the clip to the band, the crimping means being operably coupled to the crimping handle. A severing means is provided for severing the tab end portion from the band, the severing means being operably coupled to the crimping handle.

Tool for securing a clamp

A tool and method of securing a clamp is provided. The tool includes a first handle having a first jaw portion on one end. An arm is pivotally coupled to the first handle, the having a second jaw portion on one end. A second handle is adjacent the first handle. A force adjustment mechanism is rotatably coupled between the arm and the second handle. The force adjustment mechanism has a biasing member operably coupled between the arm and an adjustment member, the force adjustment mechanism further having at least one bearing member disposed between the arm and the adjustment member. The second handle is arranged to rotate relative to the arm based at least in part on a force applied on the second handle by the biasing member via the at least one bearing member.

A crimping tool is provided which includes a movable jaw. The jaw being movable from an open and crimped positions. In an embodiment a linkage is coupled to the jaw and is rotatable about an axle. A member is provided having at least a first and second gear portion, the member pivoting about the linkage and moving relative to the main axle as the jaw moves from the open to the crimped position. A ring gear is coupled to the second gear portion and cooperate therewith to rotate the member about the axle. A drive gear rotates about the axle and cooperates with the first gear portion cooperating to rotate the member relative to the linkage. A handle is pivotally coupled to the axle. A drive pawl is coupled to the handle and rotates the drive gear in response to the handle moving from a first to a second position.

Crimping tool for band clamp

A tool for crimping a ring member on a pipe is provided. The tool includes a first arm having a plurality of slots on a first side and a second slot on a second side. Each slot of the plurality of slots is a different size diameter, and the at least one second slot has a different size. The tool further includes a second arm operably coupled to rotate. The second arm having a plurality of slots on a third side and at least one fourth slot on a fourth side. Each of the plurality of slots are sized and positioned to cooperate with each other when in the first position to crimp the ring member. The at least one fourth slot is sized and positioned to cooperate with the at least one second slot when in the second position to crimp the ring member.

Crimping tool

The tool is provided comprising a first and second arm. The first arm having a first and second die slot on a side and a third die slot on an opposing side. The first arm further having a first gage slot on the side adjacent the second die slot and a second gage slot on the opposing side. The second arm being operably coupled to rotate relative to the first arm. The second arm having a fourth and a fifth die slot on a side arranged opposite the first die slot and the second die slot when the second arm is in a first position, the second arm also having a sixth die slot on an opposing side from the first die, the second arm further having a third gage slot on the side adjacent the fifth die slot and a fourth gage slot on the opposing side.

A crimping tool is provided for coupling a pipe with a connector or fitting. The crimping tool includes a first jaw having an opening on one side. The opening has a first slot sized and shaped to receive a portion of a pipe connector. A second jaw is operably coupled to the first jaw, the second jaw having a semi-cylindrical surface on one side with a second slot disposed therein. The semi-cylindrical surface sized and shaped to receive a portion of the pipe connector. The first jaw and second jaw are moveable between a first position and a second position, the semi-cylindrical surface being arranged at least partially within the opening when in the closed position.

A crimping tool is provided for coupling a pipe with a connector or fitting. The crimping tool includes a first jaw having a opening on one side. The opening has a first slot sized and shaped to receive a portion of a pipe connector. A second jaw is operably coupled to the first jaw, the second jaw having a semi-cylindrical surface on one side with a second slot disposed therein. The semi-cylindrical surface sized and shaped to receive a portion of the pipe connector. The first jaw and second jaw are moveable between a first position and a second position, the semi-cylindrical surface being arranged at least partially within the opening when in the closed position.

In a preferred embodiment, an apparatus, including: first and second handles; first and second crimping jaws operatively connected, respectively, to the first and second handles, such that moving the first and second handles toward each other causes the first and second crimping jaws to advance toward each other thereby to crimp a band around tubing or pipe; and a third handle rotatably attached to the first handle, such that a user of the apparatus manually moves the first handle toward the second handle by grasping the second handle and the third handle and moving them toward each other. A method of using the apparatus is also provided.
