The disclosure describes and illustrates a golf ball retriever including a ring secured to a telescopically collapsible handle, the interior surface of the ring having multiple cylindrical surfaces with internal diameters just slightly smaller than the the diameter of the ball to be retrieved. The multiple cylindrical surfaces permit retrieval of standard 1.680 inch diameter golf balls as well as the newly accepted 1.720 inch golf ball.

The tree stand is adjustable to accept and position vertically, an evergreen Christmas tree with the root portion removed. The adjustable gimballed structure will position vertically a Christmas tree with the trunk or shaft bent or crooked as much as 15 degress. The stand is composed of a minimum of parts and may be completely assembled or disassembled without the use of hand tools of any kind. This invention relates to an adjustable Christmas tree stand or more broadly to a stand for supporting vertically a fir or various evergreen trees with the sub-surface or root portion removed, commonly known as a Christmas tree.

A cabinet type enclosure, for refrigerating a plurality of food items on a plurality of specially configured meal trays has a plurality of thin, generally horizontal, fixedly mounted heater shelf members extending into the enclosed space from one side wall thereof. One or more covered containers of food to be heated are positioned on one side of the trays and are mounted on the trays slightly above the top surface of the tray and with their bottom surfaces in contact with heater plates on the heater shelf members. The meal trays have integral transverse abutment means which cooperate with portions of a container for hot food placed on the tray adjacent the abutment means for preventing longitudinal movement of the hot food container past the transverse abutment means by frictional contact of the container with the heater shelf as the tray is moved into or out of the enclosure and relative to the heater shelf along tray guides. The heater shelf members are preferably sufficiently narrow that they will terminate short of the transverse abutment means. Guide means, which may comprise elongated side runners on the bottoms of the containers and spaced complementary retaining ribs on the tray surface, prevent the containers from rotating as they are moved along the heater shelves. The apparatus is particularly useful for inflight feeding as well as for institutional feeding.

The method is performed on a cylinder having at least one end opening for receiving a flange forming tool. An annular shoulder is formed extending from the outside of the cylinder substantially perpendicular to the axis of the cylinder. Also, an annular extension is provided on the cylinder having an outside surface extending from the inside of the annular shoulder to the end of the cylinder. The length of the outside surface is formed to be greater than the radial width of the annular shoulder. A flange forming tool is then applied against the free end of the annular extension to move the annular extension until its formerly outside surface is against the annular shoulder to provide an end flange extending substantially perpendicularly to the axis of the cylinder.

A bearing cage and roller assembly includes at least one pair of axially oppositely facing short resilient projections extending from the rims into each roller pocket. The rims and projections are sufficiently resilient to permit the placement of rollers having openings in their axial ends into the pockets by inserting one end of the roller in the pocket with the projection extending from one rim of the cage into the opening at that end of the roller and then snapping the other end of the roller over the projection extending from the other end rim. If desired, a plurality of pairs of oppositely facing projections may be provided in each pocket with a roller for each pair of projections. In making the cage for the bearing cage and roller assembly, the projections are made at approximately the same time as the pockets are made, for example, in a solid strip of metal and before the rollers are inserted into the pockets.
