A wearable electronic fabric comprises a woven fabric formed from a plurality of interlaced threads. The plurality of interlaced threads comprise a plurality of warp threads interlaced with a plurality of weft threads. The woven fabric has a top face and a bottom face. A plurality of conductive threads is included among the plurality of interlaced threads at predetermined intervals and interlacing angles to provide a pattern of connection locations. The connection locations are located at regular intervals on at least one of the top face and the bottom face of the woven fabric.

An example of a computing system is described herein. The computing system includes a plurality of network security devices. The computing system also includes a network switch configured to direct network traffic. The computing system further includes a controller coupled to the network switch. The controller is to instruct the network switch in directing network traffic to the plurality of network security devices.

Example embodiments disclosed herein relate to implementing pre-filter rules at a network infrastructure device. In one example, the network infrastructure device receives a packet flow including a first pre-filter tag including information from implementation of a first subset of a set of pre-filter rules. In the example, the network infrastructure device includes logic to implement a second subset of the pre-filter rules. The second subset of pre-filter rules are different from the first subset of pre-filter rules. The second subset of pre-filter rules are implemented on the packet flow to yield a pre-filter result.

One network device includes a network chip having logic and a number of network ports for the device for receiving and transmitting packets therefrom. Application specific integrated circuits (ASICs) and methods are provided which allow for internal testing of an ASIC. One ASIC embodiment includes a processor on the ASIC. A memory is coupled to the processor. A test circuit is integrated on the ASIC and coupled to the processor to perform testing internal to the ASIC, the test circuit having an input to receive signals from the processor. The processor can read an output of the test circuit to determine a performance speed of the ASIC.

A method for transmitting data packets, grouped as data octets, over a LAN having a central hub linked to each of a plurality of network nodes via a physical medium consisting of four pairs of unshielded twisted pair (UTP) cable. The transmission method sequentially divides the data into data quintets. The quintets are then arranged into blocks of data quintets and sequentially distributed into four individual serial code streams. The four serial code streams are sequentially scrambled to produce four streams of randomized quintets. The randomized data streams are sequentially block encoded into 6-bit symbol data which are then transmitted using NRZ modulation across the network by transmitting each data stream over one of said pairs of cable.

A method provides for a first network node in a plurality of network nodes to transmit a data packet to a hub. The hub and the network nodes are interconnected within a local network system. Control signals are exchanged between the first network node and the hub. The exchange of control signals is done in a first signal frequency range. A data packet is sent from the first network node to the hub. The data packet is sent using data signals within a second signal frequency range. The first signal frequency range and the second signal frequency range do not overlap.
