A layer of silver-metal oxide, a layer of gold or a gold alloy and, a layer of rhodium or ruthenium are electrolytically produced on a metal base, preferably in the form of a wire. The gold alloy is partially diffused into the silver-metal oxide layer by an annealing process at a temperature between 300.degree. and 900.degree. C. As a result, a low-impedance and burn-up resistant contact coated element is provided for employment in weak current relays.

In an electrical relay for integration on printed circuit boards, terminal leads thereof emerge from an upper side of a housing that faces away from a floor side or from the printed circuit board, and have bent-over sections extending along sidewalls of the housing down into the region of the floor side, where they form press-in pins or SMT solder terminals. As a result thereof, a decoupling of the press-in stems from the seal leadthroughs at the housing occurs, so that a de-adjustment in the interior of the relay due to the press-in is avoided.

Contact spring arrangement for a relay for conducting and switching high

A relay includes a coil member having two through extending contact spaces parallel to the axis of the coil member. The contact tongues are arranged in the contact spaces and are anchored in common in a first coil flange to form working air gaps with pole pieces in the region of a second coil flange. The pole pieces are arranged in pairs and lie perpendicularly in a plane at an end face of the second coil flange. A permanent magnet arrangement having a plurality of magnetic poles corresponding to twice the number of pole pieces polarized the pole pieces. The permanent magnet poles facing away from the pole pieces are coupled to the bearing side of the contact tongues via flux guidance plates. The permanent magnet regions allow individual independent balancing of each and every pole piece to achieve synchronous switching of the two contact tongues.

Polarized electromagnetic multi-contact relay

A relay features two base-structured components (1 & 2) in the shape of half of a bowl having a winding (3) mounted on it. Two pole plates (6 & 7) are embedded in a common plane in one (2) of the base-structural components. The ends of the pole plates extend into a contact space (4 & 5). Paralleling the pole plates inside the contact space is a bridge armature (8) that is secured to a frame-shaped spring (9) in a plane coextensive with the separation between the two jointed base-structural components. The connection elements extend out of the sides of the base structure in the spool flanges and are bent down.

Electromagnetic relay

An electromagnetic relay has a flat base, a coil body with flanges at opposite ends disposed on said base, a coil wound about the coil body between the flanges, a carrier element of insulating material pivotally seated in one of the flanges with an armature attached thereto and extending therefrom through said coil, contact springs disposed parallel to said armature outside of said coil body, and cooperating contact elements anchored in said base body for making electrical contact with the contact springs. A magnet system is provided for actuating the armature, and upon actuation of the armature the carrier is rotated thereby moving the contact springs for simultaneously contacting the contact elements. The contact springs are electrically connected inside the carrier forming a contact bridge electrically connecting the cooperating contact elements upon actuation of the springs, dependent upon the switch position of the armature. By simultaneously making electrical connection with two contact elements, the bridged contact springs are suitable for switching high currents without the use of additional power leads connected to the springs.

An electrical relay assembly has a spring action bridge contact for engaging with two counter contact elements. The bridge contact is connected with an armature at one end of a longitudinal first section. The other end of the first section is connected to a linearly directed second section having two contact points facing opposite the counter contact elements. The first section has a lateral width not greater than the distance between the contact points. A lever action of the contact points about two different axes thereby results, as a consequence of which a frictional effect is produced at the contact points. The bridge contact is particularly applicable for the switching of low currents.

An electromagnetic miniature relay of a narrow structure characterized by a flat core being embedded in a body and extending outside of the ends of the coil to form pole pieces, a stationary contact element being embedded in the body adjacent each of the pole pieces, a flat armature extending parallel to the flat coil and having ends forming air gaps with the pole pieces, said armature carrying flat spring-like contact portions secured to the center of the armature and engaging the stationary contacts when the coil is energized to attract the armature into contact with the pole pieces.

Electromagnetic miniature relay and method of manufacture

A getter body for use in encapsulated electrical components is of the type consisting of a powder mixture which has been compressed into tablet form. The powder mixture contains in addition to traditional getter material such as activated carbon, zeolite or the like, aluminum stearate and a binder containing a synthetic such as a polyamide. The getter body is produced in several sequential steps. The getter material is mixed with a polycarbonate or a water glass solution, which is then dried and then pulverized. To this first powder is added the aluminum stearate and the binder containing a synthetic. The resulting powder may then be dried and is then pressed into tablets. The tablets may then be heat-cured and are then surfaced polished. The resulting tablets have good abrasion resistance without a noticeable loss in the getter effectiveness.
