A connector has at least one engagement ball that is movable between an engagement position and a disengagement position. A movement of an engagement ball operating part of the connector relative to an inner housing of the connector can force the at least one engagement ball from the engagement position into the disengagement position. The at least one engagement ball is biased in the engagement position by an elastic element via the engagement ball operating part. The connector further comprises an outer housing of the connector with a catch that when the outer housing is operated engages with a counter catch of the engagement ball operating part to move the engagement ball operating part, so that the engagement ball operating part forces the at least one engagement ball from the engagement position into the disengagement position.

Ball-lock connector

A connecting plug includes a locking pin arranged at a connector face. The locking pin has at least one latching element and a counter-piece. The latching element is configured for engaging with at least one counter-latching element of a second connector part. The locking pin includes a spring element configured for resiliently pressing the at least one latching element and the counter-piece against each other. The counter-piece is shaped and configured for pressing the at least one latching element in a radially outward direction and for positively locking the at least one latching element in an engaged position as soon as the at least one latching element is engaged with the at least one counter-latching element.

Plug-in connector with a locking mechanism

A counter connector for mating with a connector has a hollow cylindrical housing. The counter connector includes at least two, and preferably three, of the following three types of locking means for locking the counter connector to the connector: (A) one that is arranged on a perimeter on a cylindrical surface of the housing or of a sleeve located inside the housing, a counter engagement part in the form of a groove, a collar, or a series of radially extending apertures, recesses or protrusions, the counter engagement part being adapted to engage with at least one engagement part or at least one latching part of the connector. (B) one that has a counter latching part that can be deflected elastically in a radial direction of the counter connector and comprises at least one of a radially extending groove, collar, aperture, recess or protrusion adapted to engage with a latching part of the connector. (C) one where a counter thread is adapted to engage with a thread of the connector. Systems can include the counter connector and at least one connector that can be mated with the counter connector, wherein the connector is of one of the following three types: a) a push-pull connector; b) a break-away connector; and c) a threaded connector.

Multi-lock counter connector

An implantable connector assembly () for communicating an element to an implantable device () within a patient () comprises a plug (), a receptacle (), and a pair of communication structures (). The plug () includes a plunger body (). The receptacle () includes a sleeve () and a stopper (). The sleeve () defines an opening (), and the stopper () is resiliently mounted within the sleeve () to cover and fluidly seal the opening (). The pair of communication structures () is positioned respectively on the plunger body () and the sleeve (). One of the communication structures () connects to a source and the other communication structure () connects to the implantable device (). The plunger body () inserts into the sleeve () to displace the stopper () and couple the pair of communication structures () for communication of the element therebetween.

Implantable connector assembly and method of communicating an element to an implantable device

The invention relates to an electrical connector (), comprising a plurality of terminals (), and a circuit board (). The circuit board () comprises a plurality of traces for electrically connecting the terminals () with a plurality of pads (). The pads () can electrically connect strands from a cable with the traces. The circuit board () further comprises a vertical connecting portion () for connecting the terminals () with the traces, and a first horizontal connecting portion () with pads (), wherein the first horizontal connecting portion () is physically connected to the vertical connecting portion (). According to the invention the circuit board () comprises a second horizontal connecting portion () with pads ().

Connector assembly with flexible circuit board

Embodiments of the present invention provide a connection device for the transmission of optical and/or electrical signals, specifically for medical purposes, featuring a cable and a coupling element, which is designed to couple to a matching counterpart on the coupling side. The coupling side exhibits an inner part, having a connecting element for connection to the cable, and an outer part, with the outer part being detachably attached to the inner part. The outer part is capable of being detached from the inner part prior to use of the connection device involving the passage of the connection device through an area of the human body.
