A machine group for cleaning ballast of a track includes a first machine, having an endless clearing chain for ballast cleaning, and a second machine preceding the former with regard to a working direction and having a pick-up device for picking up cleaned ballast pre-deposited on the track. A third machine is arranged to precede the second machine. The third machine has two shoulder excavating devices for picking up the ballast located in a shoulder region of a ballast bed, and a second screening plant for cleaning the picked-up ballast.

Machine group and method for cleaning ballast of a track

A tamping tine () for a tamping machine consists of a tine shaft () and, positioned at the lower end thereof, a tine pad () having a pad bottom edge () spaced from the tine shaft (). The tine pad () has pad side surfaces (), spaced from one another in the direction of the pad bottom edge () and extending perpendicularly to the same, each of which connect a pad front side () to a pad rear side of the tine pad (). Hardened metal plates () for increasing the abrasion resistance are fastened to the tine pad (). The hardened metal plates () situated side by side along the pad bottom edge () form a common boundary line () both on the pad front side () as well as on the pad rear side. Armoring () in the shape of a build-up welding, standing out from a plane () of the pad front- or -rear side, is provided adjoining each boundary line ().

Tamping pick

The invention relates to a clearing device () provided for removing ballast below a track (), which clearing device comprises a clearing beam () of a clearing chain () that can be positioned below the track () in a ballast bed () and pivoted about a vertical axis of rotation (). An end () of the clearing beam () that is distanced from the axis of rotation () can be connected by a releasable coupling () to a supporting device () fastened to the machine frame (). In order to pivot jointly with the clearing beam (), the supporting device is fastened to the machine frame () via a linkage () that is distanced from the coupling () and has a pivot axis ().

In a first method step for cleaning a ballast bed () of a track (), the ballast () picked up from a bedding section () adjoining sleepers ends (), after having been cleaned, is introduced underneath the track () immediately after the removal&#x2014;carried out in a second method step&#x2014;of the ballast () located underneath the sleepers.

A welding unit for welding two rails of a track is equipped with clamping jaws intended for lying against a rail web. The clamping jaws each have a sliding surface, which is at a distance from a contact surface in the transverse direction of the rail and is arcuately curved with respect to a cross section extending such that it is normal to a neutral axis of the rails. The jaw mount, intended for fixing the clamping jaw, has a sliding surface, which is curved in a way corresponding to the sliding surface of the clamping jaw, and so the clamping jaw is movable along the sliding surfaces in relation to the jaw mount.

A welding unit for welding rails of a track includes two unit bodies that can be moved in relation to each other by displacement cylinders along unit guides running parallel to the rails. The displacement cylinders are connected both to pull rods and to a crossbeam. Thus a simple design having high tensile forces is possible.

A tamping machine for tamping a track is equipped with a track lifting unit, positioned immediately in front of a tamping unit, and an auxiliary lifting device () designed for lifting a branch rail () of a switch branching off the main track. The auxiliary lifting device () is fastened to a beam () extending perpendicularly to a longitudinal direction of the machine and has a lifting tool () designed to be applied to a rail head (). Two disk-shaped thrust rollers (), spaced from one another in the longitudinal direction of the machine and rotatable in a common plane of rotation (), for application to a first side face () of the rail head () are connected to the auxiliary lifting device (). A flanged roller () is provided for application to a second side face () of the rail head () and for resting the auxiliary lifting device () on the latter. The auxiliary lifting device () is pivotable relative to the beam () about an axis () by means of a drive ().

A tamping machine designed especially for tamping switch sections comprises two inner and two outer tamping units (). Each outer tamping unit () is designed to be pivotable about a pivot axis (), extending in the longitudinal direction of the machine, relative to a guide block () connected for displacement to transverse guides () and to a transverse displacement drive (), and is connected to a pivot drive (). Thus, tamping tools () of the outer tamping unit () can be positioned at a maximum distance from a machine center () for extensive tamping of a branch rail.

A track maintenance vehicle () has a covered loading space () resting on a machine frame () and a crane jib () pivotable by means of drives. A loading wall (), connected to the machine frame () and provided for intermediate storage of goods () situated in the loading space (), is adjustable into a horizontal working position () adjoining the loading space () laterally, with respect to the transverse direction of the vehicle.

The compression of ballast for a rail track takes place after two-stage cleaning by a cleaning machine. For this purpose, cleaned ballast is dispensed and a first ballast layer is thereby formed. The rail track which is laid on the first ballast layer has lateral oscillations imparted to it by a front stabilization unit, and the first ballast layer is thereby compressed. The formation of a second ballast layer takes place by a second chute, which second ballast layer is subsequently compressed by a rear stabilization unit.

Method and machine for compressing ballast of a rail track

For the controlled lowering of a track, a longitudinal inclination of the track is determined at a rear tracing point of a measuring system and stored. For a length reaching back at least 10 meters, a current vertical profile is formed, and a rear compensation straight line is calculated which is superimposed upon the vertical profile and renders a target track position. The rear tracing point is guided by calculation along the rear compensation straight line, so that a compensation value for the position of the measuring chord ensues at a middle tracing point positioned between the rear tracing point and a front tracing point.

Method and machine for lowering a track

A track position correction machine includes a multi-part machine frame and a satellite frame associated with the machine frame. A first drive displaces the satellite frame relative to the machine frame. A first packing unit and a track lifting unit are disposed on the satellite frame. A stabilization unit is associated with the machine frame. A second packing unit is disposed between the satellite frame and the stabilization unit. A second drive displaces the second packing unit relative to the machine frame.

Track position correction machine

For the purpose of rehabilitation, a ballast bed of a track is taken up in the form of an upper bed layer by a first clearing device and cleaned. The bulk material accruing in the process is discharged in front of the first clearing device&#x2014;with regard to the working direction&#x2014;laterally upon the ballast bed in a bed region. The latter can only be covered by the second clearing device which is configured to be of greater width&#x2014;with regard to a transverse direction of the track&#x2014;than the first clearing device. Thus, it is possible to intermediately store bulk material, accruing in a front end region of a machine, on the ballast bed for later use.

Method for rehabilitation of a ballast bed of a track

Measurement of a track position is carried out in successive measurement sections (), wherein the relative track position is registered in each case with the aid of a long chord (), formed by a laser beam (), which serves as reference line of a measuring system (). During this; an angle enclosed by the two long chords () of two successive measurement sections () is measured in order to thereby obtain a spatial curve reproducing the actual position of the track.

A machine () for picking up and storing rail fastenings () of a track () includes two rail fastening pickup devices (). Arranged between these and a rear on-track undercarriage ()&#x2014;with regard to a working direction ()&#x2014;is a crawler track (). At each longitudinal side of the machine, two devices () for guiding rails () are provided which are adjustable by drives () relative to the machine frame () and arranged one following the other in the longitudinal direction of the machine.
