A bearing cage () for a rolling-element bearing is split in the circumferential direction along at least one cutting line (--) between a first and a second bearing cage section (--). A projection () and a corresponding opening () are respectively formed on opposing bordering surfaces (--) of the cutting line between the first and second bearing cage sections, and are configured to fix the bordering surfaces to each other in three directions upon meshing of the projection with the opening. A main axis (--) of projection and opening extends at an angle (&#x3b1;) oblique to the rotational axis () of the bearing cage.

A support body used in a tensioning device includes a support element and a bottom plate. The support element is attached to the bottom plate in a radially and axially form-fitting and fixed manner through use of a plastic element that is molded into place by extrusion. The plastic element engages a groove formed in the outer surface of the support element and also engages through holes formed in the bottom plate.

A roller includes a rolling bearing having inner and outer rings, a roller shell formed of injection molding material and molded in a form-fitting manner onto the outer ring of the roller bearing, and a spindle disposed in the bore of the inner ring with a space being provided between the surface of the bore and the spindle. The spindle includes at least one form-fitting element. An injection molding material forms a filler in the space between the spindle and the bore surface, whereby the outside contour of the spindle is constructed as am outer shaping surface for the form tool. A method of producing a roller involves placing a rolling bearing having inner and outer rings into a form tool, placing a spindle in the form tool so that the spindle extends into the bore in the inner ring and is held in place in the form tool, closing the form tool, and injecting molding material into the form tool. The molding material flows into a space provided between the inner surface of the form tool and the outer surface of the outer ring to form a roller shell of the molding material that is molded in a form-fitting manner onto the outer ring of the rolling bearing. The molding material also flows into a space that exists between the inner surface of the bore and the outer surface of the spindle to fix the spindle relative to the inner ring.

A tension roll includes a rolling bearing protected by a sealing disk and having an outer ring possessing an end face and a bore surface, and an injection molded plastic roller shell arranged on the outer ring of the rolling bearing. The roller shell includes sections that are molded in one piece and cover the end face and the bore surface of the outer ring up to the sealing disk.

An arrangement for fixing a tubular element, such as a shaft, that is provided with a bore and a flange in position with respect to plate element involves the use of a ball that pressed into the bore in the tubular element. To achieve a simple fixation that is secure in both axial directions, the plate element is fixed on one side by the flange of the tubular element and on the other side by the bulge that is created through insertion of the ball into the bore in the tubular element. The ball has a greater diameter than that of the bore in the tubular element so that insertion of the ball into the bore causes the tubular element to become enlarged, thus forming the bulge.

Arrangement and method for fixing tubular element in a hole in a plate

A device for sealing and generating electrical pulses in a bearing assembly including fixed and rotating bearing rings especially a wheel bearing for motor vehicles. The device consists of a sealing section on the fixed bearing ring with an embedded pulse generator for detecting rotational movement and a sealing section on the rotating bearing ring having cells a certain distance apart from each other which activate the pulse generator. The fixed bearing ring (4, 19) rotates with respect to the sealing section (2) which is secured against rotation by way of a machine element (1, 24), which holds the fixed bearing ring (4, 19).

Device for sealing and generating electrical pulses

The non-rotating bearing ring of a pivot mounted roller is mounted to be radially movable on an undulated spring and axially held between two machine parts. Friction is produced by relative radial movement between the end surface of the bearing ring and the radially extending surfaces of the machine parts, to result in damping by dissipation of energy. The rubbing surfaces can be coated with friction layer or a solid sliding washer can be employed instead of a coated surface.

A spring ring is arranged in an annular gap of a pair of outer bearing rings in an arrangement for fastening a rolling bearing in the bore of a housing. A groove is provided in the housing for receiving the spring ring. A holding ring is mounted on the outer surface of the bearing outer ring, the holding ring having a collar aligned to hold the spring ring within the annular gap during the disassembled condition of the bearing. The holding ring has an axial surface adapted to engage the end of the housing during assembly, to enable the holding ring to be forced axially along the outer surface of the bearing outer ring. The holding ring futher has an end away from the spring ring adapted to form a seal with the bearing inner ring.
