A transmission for a motorcycle includes a housing; at least one shaft at least partially accommodated in the housing, a locking device which has at least one first locking element which can be rotated with the shaft and at least one second locking element which can be moved relative to the housing, relative to the shaft, and relative to the first locking element. The second locking element can move between at least one release position in which the locking elements do not engage in one another and the shaft is released for rotation, and at least one locking position in which the locking elements engage in one another to secure the shaft against rotation relative to the housing. The transmission further includes an actuating device configured to move the second locking element out of the release position into the locking position via at least one intermediate position.

An emergency braking system of a single-track vehicle configured to intervene in a braking process of the single-track vehicle includes a plurality of sensors that determine various physical variables. From the physical variables an accident risk actual value is determined, compared with an accident risk target value using an emergency braking system control unit, and if the accident risk actual value exceeds the accident risk target value, the single-track vehicle's brake is actuated by the emergency braking system control unit.

A transmission for a motorcycle includes a housing, at least one shaft at least partially accommodated in the housing and which can be rotated relative to the housing, and a locking device having at least one locking element located in the housing. The at least one locking element is movable moved relative to the housing between at least one locking position in which the at least one locking element secures the shaft against rotation relative to the housing, and at least one release position in which the at least one locking element releases the shaft for rotation relative to the housing.

An extraction device is provided for a motor vehicle, in particular for a motor bike or for a motor vehicle similar to a motor bike. The extraction device includes at least one duct-like air-guide which has at least one opening which is arranged in or at an exhaust-air region of a ventilated vehicle component of the motor vehicle, such as engine, gearbox or the like, and which is extended between the used-air region of the vehicle component and a rear wheel of the motor vehicle, and at least one suction apparatus which is connectable or is connected to the air-guide and in which a negative pressure can be produced in order to suck air out of the exhaust-air region via the at least one air-guide.

A motor vehicle, in particular a motorcycle or a motorcycle-like vehicle, includes a wheel suspension supporting the vehicle frame with a spring assembly. The wheel suspension is designed to compress in a compression direction and to rebound in an opposite rebound direction. The wheel suspension includes a lowering device which can be selectively actuated by a pressure fluid in an active state to apply a preload to the wheel suspension to alter a ride height of the motor vehicle.

A method is provided for assisting a driver of a single-track motor vehicle during a drive in order to drive through a bend safely. In the method, at least one current driving state variable and driver-specific driving dynamics variables are compared with an approaching driving situation and, if a danger threshold value is reached or exceeded, a warning signal is output. The current speed of the motor vehicle is sensed by a speed sensor and transmitted to a computer&#x2014;and memory unit as the current driving state variable. Both previously reached inclined positions of the single-track motor vehicle and previously reached brake pressures and/or brake pressure gradients are stored by the computer-and-memory unit as the driver-specific driving dynamics variables. In order to evaluate the approaching driving situation, a bend radius of a curve to be driven through next is determined via a navigation unit and is transmitted to the computer&#x2014;and memory unit.

A single-track and engine-operated motor vehicle is provided. The motor vehicle includes a frame support structure that receives at least one engine in a fastening manner. The frame support structure includes frame elements and at least one supporting cladding part made of fiber reinforced plastic. The invention provides a luggage system for a single-track motor vehicle, in particular a motorcycle or motor scooter. The luggage system includes a luggage-accommodating container to be fastened on the motor vehicle. The luggage-accommodating container, in its interior, has a decoupling device that interacts with an item of luggage to be accommodated in the container. The decoupling device at least partially decouples, from the luggage-accommodating container, travel-induced forces exerted by the item of luggage.

A sensor ring is provided for a magnetic measuring transducer of an ABS system consisting of at least two annularly arranged functional elements. The first functional element is formed as a ferromagnetic annular disc element with a flat upper side and a flat underside with a multiplicity of openings. The second functional element, as a non-ferromagnetic element, has either been applied on the upper side and/or the underside of the annular disc element and/or has been introduced into the openings, as an annular disc element. The sensor ring is protected from contamination or damage by the non-ferromagnetic covering. The covering may also be produced by encapsulation or filling, wherein the openings in the sensor ring can be filled with plastic and also the side faces can be coated with plastic.

A pivot bearing arrangement, in particular a pivot bearing for a front wheel suspension system of a motorcycle, is provided that substantially reduces bearing breakaway torque, temperature sensitivity, complexity, space requirements and cost. The pivot bearing arrangement includes a first bearing part which enables a component to pivot about a first pivot axis, and a second bearing part which enables a component to pivot about a second pivot axis. The two bearing parts are connected to each other and form a structural unit.

A suspension strut with an elastomer block for a wheel of a vehicle, in particular, for a wheel of a motorcycle is provided. The spring constant of the elastomer block, which interacts with an additional spring element, can be changed by introducing a control sleeve between the elastomer block and the body of the suspension strut. The elastomer block further is effectively disengaged from the additional spring element when the control sleeve is in a lower end position, so that the spring rate is determined only by the additional spring element.

A motorcycle having a forked front wheel support with two rigid fork arms on which a front wheel of the motorcycle is mounted, an upper trailing link provided for supporting wheel support forces connected via an upper joint to an upper area of the wheel support, and lower trailing link provided for supporting wheel support forces situated below the upper trailing link and connected via a lower joint to the lower trailing link, in which at least one of the two joints is elastically connected to its respective upper or lower trailing link and/or to the wheel support.

A motorcycle is provided with a fork-like wheel carrier, on the lower end of which a front wheel is supported, a handlebar by which the wheel carrier can be steered in a steering direction to the left or the right during travel, and a transmission unit by which the handlebar is coupled to the wheel carrier. The transmission unit is provided for transmitting steering forces, introduced into the handlebar, to the wheel carrier and bringing same into a corresponding steering position. The wheel carrier is mounted so as to be pivotable with respect to the handlebar, such that for a specified steering position, the wheel carrier can be moved, at least over a certain range, relative to the handlebar in the steering direction.
