A method controls a user interface and an air-conditioning unit of a vehicle. The user interface includes display and operating elements. The method displays a plurality of the elements on the user interface, receives at least two operation parameters of the air-conditioning unit, determines one or more display parameters for a first element from the plurality of elements on the basis of the at least two operation parameters, and displays the first element on the basis of the one or more display parameters.

Method and system for controlling a user interface and an air-conditioning unit

An apparatus configured to control a user situation awareness modification of a user of a vehicle, which includes input module configured to repeatedly receive a first event detection signal comprising information related to a detected event outside a vehicle and to repeatedly receive a first user detection signal comprising information related to a reaction or a missing reaction of a user to the detected event outside the vehicle. The apparatus further includes a processing module configured to determine a user situation awareness level based on the information related to the detected event outside the vehicle and the information related to the reaction of the user to the detected event, and to generate a control signal configured to control a user situation awareness modification module based on the determined user situation awareness level.

Apparatus and method for controlling a user situation awareness modification of a user of a vehicle, and a user situation awareness modification processing system

The invention relates to an apparatus that is configured to receive a first user detection signal comprising information usable for determining a user situation awareness level. The apparatus also includes a processing module configured to determine a currently necessary situation awareness level by selecting one predefined situation awareness level from a plurality of predefined situation awareness levels based on driving information. The processing module is configured to determine a current user situation awareness level based on the information usable for determining the user situation awareness level. The processing module is configured to generate a control signal to control a user situation awareness modification module based on the currently necessary situation awareness level and the current user situation awareness level.

Apparatus, method and system for controlling a user situation awareness modification of a user of a vehicle

In a navigation method, coordinates and additional information concerning several places, so-called places of interest, are stored as data in a memory. Surrounding-area parameters are predefined by which, with respect to arbitrary places, one surrounding area respectively is defined which surrounds the place. During a traveling movement with a navigation device, one pertaining surrounding area respectively is acquired by use of the surrounding-area parameters and the respective current location of the navigation device. By way of the stored coordinates, at least one of the stored places of interest is determined which is situated in the acquired surrounding area. The additional information stored with respect to the determined place of interest is outputted by way of a user interface.

Navigation system and navigation method

The method outputs graphic driving indications for assisting a motor vehicle driver in a driving maneuver. The graphic driving indications are displayed by a head-up display. A first graphic driving indication is in the form of a traffic lane change indication pointing out to the driver the direction from a traffic lane traveled at the beginning of the maneuver to a desired traffic lane. A second graphic driving indication is output in the form of a contact-analog traffic lane marking graphically emphasizing the desired traffic lane relative to other traffic lanes. A third graphic driving indication is in the form of a contact-analog maneuvering impulse including a driving funnel originating from the desired traffic lane and corresponding to the driving maneuver. A fourth graphic driving indication is a symbolic maneuvering display indication which symbolically displays the beginning driving maneuver after the vehicle enters into the driving funnel.

Method for the output of graphic driving indications

A motor vehicle includes a plurality of electronic detection devices for detecting and making available vehicle-related information items, wherein the vehicle-related information items relate to various areas or components outside or inside the motor vehicle; a display unit for displaying the vehicle-related information items; an operator control device for detecting an operator control action; and a control unit. The control unit is configured and coupled with the detection devices, the display unit and the operator control device such that in a first display operating state, first vehicle-related information items and a first graphics object, which represents the motor vehicle, are displayed. In a second display operating state, second vehicle-related information items and a second graphics object, which represents the motor vehicle, are displayed. The first graphics object, which represents the motor vehicle, is larger than the second. Switching between the first and the second display operating states is brought about by way of an operator control action.

A method is provided for outputting navigation instructions in a motor vehicle having a navigation system and a head-up display. Graphical navigation instructions are output in at least three instruction categories which differ substantially in terms of the graphical level of detail of the particular navigation instruction, the instruction category being selected based on the distance between the motor vehicle and an action point for the navigation maneuver. Navigation instructions in the category for short distances include a perspective lane-exact representation of a map section relevant to the navigation maneuver in the head-up display, a first driving line which is proposed by the navigation system is depicted in the map section in a lane-exact manner by way of a first graphical line object and an alternative second driving line is also depicted in a lane-exact manner by way of a second graphical line object differing from the first line object.

Method for outputting navigation instructions

A method displays the remaining range of a motor vehicle. The method determines repeatedly estimated values relating to the remaining range of the motor vehicle based on a fill level of an energy storage unit and at least one additional motor-vehicle state influencing the remaining range. A first remaining-range value is determined based on the estimated values and displayed as a first display value by a first graphical element on the display device. An updated second remaining-range value is determined during the display of the first display value. If the difference, in terms of amount, between the first and the second remaining-range values exceeds a predetermined threshold value, the second remaining-range value is displayed as a second display value by a second graphical element in addition to the first display value on the display device.

Method for displaying the remaining range of a motor vehicle

A warning system for a motor vehicle includes sensor devices for detecting a driving situation, a warning device for the output of a warning to a driver of the motor vehicle, a device for detecting the driver's state of attention that includes operating elements of existing vehicle components, and a control device which triggers the warning device as a function of data of the sensor devices and the device for detecting the state of attention. In this warning system, the device for detecting the state of attention infers a reduced degree of driver attention when a total duration of a sequence of several operating actions related to the operating elements exceeds a minimum duration. A conclusion can also be drawn that the degree of driver attention is reduced when operating inputs are triggered that are known a priori as being cognitively demanding, for example, operating a telephone keypad.

Warning system for a motor vehicle

A motor vehicle operating system includes a navigation system for providing road map information, a vehicle monitoring system for providing vehicle information, a display device for displaying road map information and vehicle information, an operating device for detecting an operating action and a control device. The control device is set up and coupled with the navigation system, the vehicle monitoring system, the display device and the operating device such that, in a zoom operating condition, in at least one predefined operating situation or zoom situation, particularly in the case of the adjustment of the zoom factor to a limit value. A switching-over takes place from the zoom operating condition to a monitoring operating condition by way of an additional zoom operating action.
