A disc brake for a utility vehicle includes a brake caliper, designed as a sliding caliper and engaging over a brake disc, which is secured to a stationary brake carrier. Two brake pads, which are arranged in the brake caliper, can move inversely and have a respective pad carrier plate and a friction lining secured thereon, of which an action-side or application-side brake pad can be pressed against the brake disc by an application device via at least one brake piston. The brake pads are each accommodated in a pad housing of the stationary brake carrier, wherein the pad housing is formed by two opposing brake carrier horns and a longitudinal connector connecting the brake carrier horns. At least one of the brake pads is assigned a pad return device, with which the at least one brake pad can be returned after a brake-dependent shifting and releasing of the brake.

Disc brake for a utility vehicle, and brake pad set

A disc brake for a commercial vehicle is provided. The disc brake includes a brake caliper, preferably in the form of a sliding caliper, straddling a brake disc, being arranged on a fixed backing plate, and having an application device for applying the brake. The disk brake also includes two brake pads, each having a pad carrier and an affixed friction pad, and each being inserted into a pad shaft of the backing plate. The brake caliper has a central caliper opening over the disc brake. A hold-down bar is provided, designed in such a way that, of the two brake pads, it radially secures only the reaction-side brake pad in its lining shaft in the backing plate. The hold-down bar is held on the brake caliper by its end facing away from the brake pad. Additionally, the application-side brake pad is radially interlockingly secured in its pad shaft in the backing plate. The application-side brake pad has a brake pad spring, which is held on the application-side brake pad and includes ends which rest resiliently on horns of the backing plate.

A brake carrier for a disc brake of a commercial vehicle has an attachment region for fixing on a vehicle axis and at least one pad shaft for receiving and supporting at least one brake pad. The pad shaft is formed by way of an inlet-side carrier horn, an outlet-side carrier horn and a bridge which connects the inlet-side carrier horn and the outlet-side carrier horn. Regions of the bridge which adjoin the carrier horns form bearing surfaces for radially supporting the at least one brake pad. The respective guide contours for guiding the brake pad into a push-in position are arranged to the side of the pad shaft on a side surface of the carrier horns, in which push-in position the brake pad can be pushed axially with respect to the vehicle axle into the pad shaft between the carrier horns.

A disc brake for a utility vehicle, with a brake caliper which overlaps a brake disc, is preferably designed as a sliding caliper, is fastened to a positionally fixed brake carrier and has a central caliper opening above the brake disc, with an application device for applying the brake, and with two brake pads which are insertable through the caliper opening and each have a pad carrier and a friction pad fastened thereto, of which brake pads the one brake pad, as an application-side brake pad, can be pressed against the brake disc on the one side of the brake disc by the application device, and the other, as a reaction-side brake pad, is arranged on the opposite side of the brake disc, is distinguished in that a holding-down clamp is provided which is designed in such a manner that it radially secures only one of the two brake pads in the pad slot.

A disc brake for a utility vehicle includes a brake caliper which engages over a vehicle-side brake disc, which is connected to a stationary brake carrier, and in which two brake pads are arranged which bear against the brake disc on both sides during a braking operation, having in each case one lining carrier plate and one friction lining which is fastened thereto, and of which at least one brake application-side brake pad is positioned in a pad shaft of the brake carrier, which pad shaft is delimited by two brake carrier horns. The lining carrier plate bears against stops of the brake carrier in a manner which is spring-loaded radially in the direction of a mounting opening of the brake caliper. The disc brake is configured in such a way that the brake pad is held on the brake caliper in a radially sprung manner.

A brake pad for a disk brake for a utility vehicle, includes a pad backplate, which has a pad side with a frictional mass and an application side opposite the pad side. The pad side is provided with a structural arrangement having a plurality of recesses with elevations arranged therein. The structural arrangement of the pad side comprises structural elements which differ in shape and size.

A disc brake for a utility vehicle is provided. The disc brake includes a brake caliper overlapping a brake disc, the brake caliper being held on a brake carrier located on the vehicle in an axially displaceable manner with respect to the brake disc. The brake carrier has brake lining slots on opposite sides of the brake disc defined by brake carrier lugs on the entry and the exit side. Each slot receives a brake lining having a brake plate and a friction lining fastened thereto, configured such that each brake lining is supported at least at the entry side in the direction of rotation of the brake disc on the entry side brake carrier lug during braking.

A disc brake for a vehicle, in particular for a commercial vehicle, includes a brake carrier which receives at least two brake pads in respective clamping side and rear side pad slots, with the at least one brake pad on the clamping side being held in its pad slot in a form-fitting manner. The at least one brake pad on the clamping side is provided with at least one pad retaining spring which is supported at least on a brake carrier horn of the pad slot of the brake carrier. The at least one clamping spring exerts a tensile force acting radially outward on the brake pad. A brake pad set for the disc brake is also provided.

A brake pad of a disk brake, includes at least one friction pad attached to a pad carrier and has a locking device, which is arranged on the pad carrier and which has a spring element and a securing element. The spring element and the securing element of the locking device are coupled to each other in a form-closed manner as two separate parts and can be pivoted in relation to each other. A disk brake is equipped with such brake pads.

A brake-disc/hub assembly is provided with a disc/hub connection for connecting a brake disc to a brake disc hub. The brake disc includes support elements on the inner circumference thereof, the brake disc hub is provided on the outer circumference thereof with cams, and intermediate elements are radially distributed in the circumferential direction between the brake disc hub and the brake disc, extending into cavities running in the circumferential direction between the cams and the support elements and, hence, providing a transfer of the braking force from the brake disc to the brake disc hub. Each intermediate element includes two shoulders running at least completely or essentially in parallel to each other, whereby one shoulder contacts a corresponding cam and the other shoulder contacts a corresponding support element, embodied such that the total thickness of opposing shoulders on the elements may be reduced for disassembly thereof.
