A melting device includes a container capable of melting a material supplied in a free-flowing state and storing the material in a liquid state. The container includes a first storage section for storing the material in the free-flowing state, a second storage section for storing the material in the liquid state, and a dividing section provided between the first storage section and the second storage section and configured to hold back the material, when the material is in a non-molten or free-flowing state and to allow passage of the material from the first storage section into the second storage section, when the material is in a molten or liquid state.

A component feed nozzle includes a housing, which has a component inlet and a component outlet, a piston-shaped closing body, which is slidably supported in the housing and which can be moved back and forth axially. The component outlet is closed by the front end of the closing body in a first position and the component outlet is released or opened in a second position. The component feed nozzle has a membrane seal, which is fastened to the rear end of the closing body and to the housing in such a way that the closing body is completely on one face of the membrane seal. The housing and/or the closing body are designed in such a way that the component reaches all surfaces of the closing body and thus the component pressure is applied to the complete effective surface of the membrane.

In a method for producing a shaped part, a closing movement is executed by displacing at least one of two mold halves of a high-pressure resin transfer tool from an open position into a pre-closure position of the resin transfer tool such that an opening gap between the mold halves is sealed air-tight by a sealing device of the resin transfer tool to thereby enclose a cavity. The cavity is evacuated by pumping air out of the cavity, and the closing movement is continued by displacing at least one of the two mold halves from the pre-closure position into a final closure position, in which the mold halves are sealed against one another by a further sealing device to allow filling of the cavity, enclosed by the two mold halves, with resin without leakage during a high-pressure resin transfer molding process.

The present invention relates to an apparatus for producing plastic parts interspersed with reinforcing fibers, with a mixing chamber () for producing a mixture of chemically reactive polymer components, with an outlet chamber (), which is arranged downstream of the mixing chamber and in which a cleaning ram () in which a fiber conveying channel () is formed is guided in a reciprocatingly movable manner. A mixing head has traces of the reactive mixture of synthetic resin components removed therefrom by insertion into a housing or rinsing flange into which a rinsing liquid, e.g. hot water, is forced via nozzles or orifices trained inwardly of the plane of the mixing head. The mixture of rinsing liquid and removed residue is passed through a bag filter in which the residue is collected and the rinsing liquid is recirculated.

Through three separate passages opening in a common plane at right angles to one another into a mixing chamber, three components of a reactant polyurethane or polyurea elastomer composition to form in a mold cavity are introduced. One of the components is an aliphatic polyether amine having primary amino function and substantially free from free hydroxyl groups, catalysts with tertiary amino groups, carbon dioxide as a carbamate reactive with the polyether amine and optionally other inert gases and conventional polyurea additives. The second component is a polyisocyanate or prepolymer thereof and the third component C is water. The reacting mixture is formed through a throttle gap into the mold to form low-density foamed products under low fuming conditions and has no unreacted diisocyanates.
