The invention relates to a chopping arrangement for a chopper and in particular a drum chopper having a chopping drum with several cutting blades spaced apart along its periphery which cooperate with a counter blade, the latter lying at each end against an anvil and being surrounded at each end by an essentially U-shaped clamp clip which presses the counter blade against the horizontal surface of the anvil under the effect of tension screws which penetrate the clamp clip and cooperate with tension nuts. The two arms of the clamp clip are extended by articulation pieces and the insides of the articulation pieces facing the anvil have a convex design and lie against the side walls of the anvil at only one point.

Chopping arrangement

A control element for an agricultural machine comprises a standard lever pivotal about a lever axis through angularly offset positions associated with respective operational levels of the machine. This lever carries a handle remote from the lever axis and centered on a handle axis different from the lever axis and a grip carried on the handle and rotatable thereon about the handle axis between at least one grip end position and an angularly offset grip central position. A grip switch is actuatable by the grip only in the grip end position. A thumb-operable pin is axially displaceable in the handle between an outer pin position and at least one inner pin position. A pin switch is actuatable by the pin only in the inner pin position, and biasing means urges the pin into the outer pin position.

A height adjuster for an agricultural implement, such as the crop pickup device of a field chopper, picker, thresher or like machine having an intake or pickup unit drawing the crop to a chopper or blower, has at least one movable front point or shoe which is swingable about an axis transverse to the direction of travel and rides on the ground. Within this shoe switches are provided to respond to the pivotal movements of the shoe and control a hydraulic cylinder for lifting or lowering the pickup unit to conform to changes in the ground contour.

A towed harvesting machine, especially for row crop, has a chassis connected pivotally by a tow bar to a tractor and a fluid-responsive motor connected between the tow bar and the chassis or frame which is capable of laterally shifting the frame or chassis, and hence the mouth of the machine for ensuring alignment of the row crop with the mouth. The mouth of the machine can be provided with sensors controlling this motor, which can be a hydraulic cylinder, to assure this alignment.
