A semiconductor device includes a semiconductor body including an upper surface, input and output terminals disposed on the upper surface of the semiconductor body, first and second p-n junction devices that are monolithically integrated in the semiconductor body, and a signal line protection circuit connected between the input and output terminals and comprising a low-pass filter and a voltage clamping device, wherein each of the low-pass filter and the voltage clamping device include the first and second p-n junction devices.

An apparatus for measuring a device current of a device under test (DUT) includes a first circuit including a first terminal for coupling to a first connection terminal of the DUT. The first circuit is configured to supply a first test voltage for the first terminal and to output a first output voltage sensed at the first terminal. The apparatus further includes a second circuit having a second terminal for coupling to a second connection terminal of the DUT. The second circuit is configured to supply a second test voltage for the second terminal and to output a second output voltage sensed at the second terminal. The apparatus further includes a third circuit configured to determine the device current of the DUT based on the first output voltage, the second output voltage, the first test voltage and the second test voltage. The first circuit and the second circuit are identical.

A common-mode suppressor for eliminating common-mode noise in high frequency differential data transmission systems and an associated method includes a long coiled differential transmission line configured to transfer data between a source and a load. The differential transmission line comprises a first conductive wire and a second conductive wire which are inductively and capacitively coupled and are laterally aligned or vertically aligned with each other. Further, the differential transmission line is matched for differential signals and un-matched for common-mode noise.

An optoelectronic transmission system has a photoemitter semiconductor component and a photodetector semiconductor component. The photoemitter semiconductor component has a radiation source for converting a first electrical signal into a first electromagnetic radiation and a first polarization filter having a first polarization direction for filtering the first electromagnetic radiation. The photodetector semiconductor component has a second polarization filter having a second polarization direction for filtering a second electromagnetic radiation and a sensor element for converting a second electromagnetic radiation which has been polarized by the polarization filter into a second electrical signal. In this case, the first polarization direction of the first polarization filter is identical to the second polarization direction of the second polarization filter.

A circuit arrangement comprises an input circuit for reading in a serial data stream, which comprises a plurality of useful data bits, and for reading in a piece of information which indicates the start of the serial data stream. The circuit arrangement also comprises a data processing circuit for removing at least one useful data bit from the read-in, serial data stream. The data processing circuit is designed such that it removes the at least one useful data bit at a prescribed position after the start of the serial data stream. The circuit arrangement also comprises a first output circuit for outputting the read-in, serial data stream for the omission of the at least one removed useful data bit.

A digital camera has a lens, a camera housing, and a semiconductor sensor. The camera housing is primarily formed of a transparent plastic block that encloses a semiconductor sensor only on its underside and has an adapted lens on its top side. Between the two there is provided an opaque layer with an aperture that improves the image quality. The invention also relates to a method for producing such a digital camera.

A diode circuit includes a pin diode structure, wherein the n-semiconductor layer is a buried layer, on which the i-area is deposited by an epitaxy method, and wherein a p-semiconductor layer is introduced into the epitaxy layer. A contacting of the p-semiconductor layer and a contacting of the n-semiconductor layer are arranged on the same main surface of the semiconductor substrate so that an integration with an integrated capacitor, an integrated resistor and/or an integrated inductor is possible.

An amplifier circuit with a radiofrequency transistor has a circuit for setting the operating point. The setting circuit provides a base current for the radiofrequency transistor depending on the voltage drop across a resistor that is connected into the collector circuit of the radiofrequency transistor. The circuit has a differential element, which is fed by the supply voltage and compares the voltage drop across the resistor with a reference voltage. The base current is generated by a current source in dependence on the voltage difference. The circuit requires only a low supply voltage, with the result that the power consumed in the resistor is also low. The circuit can be implemented with a small number of components.
