A magnetic-inductive flowmeter with a measuring tube, a magnetic field generator and a measuring electrode in which its measuring electrodes are improved is achieved by the measuring electrode being formed of an outer electrode sheath of an electrically non-conductive plastic and of an inner electrode core of electrically conductive plastic, and by a method for producing the measuring electrode.

A method for flow measurement using a magnetic-inductive flowmeter with a measuring tube and magnetic field generator that allows for detection of a zero flow error is achieved in that the measuring tube is filled with a first medium, the strength of the magnetic field is measured over a first measuring interval and a derivative with respect to time of the measured strength of the magnetic field is determined for the first measuring interval, that a second medium is made to flow through the measuring tube, the strength of the magnetic field is measured over a second measuring interval and a derivative with respect to time of the measured strength of the magnetic field is determined for the second measuring interval, that a deviation of the derivative for the second measuring interval from the derivative for the first measuring interval is determined, and assigned to a zero flow error.

Method for flow measurement using a magnetic-inductive flowmeter

A method of producing a magnetic-inductive flow meter with at least one measurement tube, a magnetic field generating apparatus for generating a magnetic field which runs at least also perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the measurement tube, and two measurement electrodes, the measurement tube having a metallic base body provided with a thermoplastic cover layer, a virtual connecting line of the two measurement electrodes running perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field which is permeating the measurement tube perpendicular to the longitudinal axis of the measurement tube. The penetration sites of the measurement tube at which the measurement electrodes penetrate the measurement tube are easily made liquid-tight by a liquid-tight connection which has been produced by heating of the cover layer at the penetration sites for sealing the thermoplastic cover layer of the measurement tube to the measurement electrodes.

Method for production of a magnetic-inductive flow meter

A magnetic-inductive flowmeter for measuring flow of a flowing medium, having a measuring tube, a magnetic field generator, at least one measuring electrode and a measuring section that is flat on one side having a planar measuring tube portion. Furthermore, the magnetic field generator has at least one coil core and a pole shoe. The magnetic-inductive flowmeter is improved compared to the prior art by several support lugs being present between the planar measuring tube portion and the pole shoe.

Method for operating for measuring the flow velocity of a flowing medium using a measuring device in which a magnetic field is induced in the flowing medium and on which a interference voltage is superimposed. During compensation measuring, a first magnetic flux density is generated in the medium and a first measuring voltage determined, a second magnetic flux density is generated in the medium and a second measured voltage determined, and a third magnetic flux density is generated in the medium and a third measured voltage determined. The flow velocity is determined from the first and second magnetic flux densities and measured voltages, and the interference voltage is determined form the third magnetic flux density and measured voltage and the determined flow velocity. Then, a fourth measured voltage is determined, and the flow velocity re-determined from the third magnetic flux density, the fourth measured voltage and the determined interference voltage.

Method for operating a magnetic-inductive flowmeter with improved compensation of the interfering voltage

A measuring tube for magneto-inductive flowmeter systems, having a measuring tube for the flow of an electrically conductive medium and a magnetic field generating device for generating a magnetic field, at least two measuring electrodes which tap the measurement voltage induced in the electrically conductive medium and preferably an evaluation unit. The measuring electrodes have externally accessible measuring contacts, wherein the measuring tube forms a first functional unit with the measuring electrodes, and mating contacts corresponding to the measuring contacts of the measuring electrodes, the magnetic field generating device and an evaluation unit, if present, form a second functional unit. The measuring contacts of the measuring electrodes are provided on the measuring tube in such a manner that they can be brought into electrically conductive contact with the mating contacts by a movement which runs substantially perpendicular to the direction of the magnetic field and is substantially only translational.

Measuring tube for magneto-inductive flow-measuring systems

A magnetic-inductive flow meter including a measuring tube, a magnetic circuit device, and two electrodes for detecting a measurement voltage. The measuring tube includes an inflow section, a measurement section that adjoins an inflow section, and an outflow section that adjoins the measurement section. A flow cross section of the measurement section is smaller than an inlet-side flow cross section of the inflow section and smaller than an outlet-side flow cross section of the outflow section. The electrodes are located on or in opposite electrode sections in the measurement section.

The measuring tube having an inlet section with an inlet section terminal cross section, an outlet section with an outlet section terminal cross section, a recess formed between the inlet section and the outlet section with a recess cross section that is wider than the inlet section terminal cross section and the outlet section terminal cross section, and an internal coating positioned in the recess. The layer thickness of the internal coating is chosen to be appropriately thick in order to guarantee electrical insulation and to arrange the internal coating in the recess such that it is protected from damage by flowing measurement fluid.
