The invention relates to a mounting device () for an aeration element () for introducing a gas into a liquid, said aeration element () comprises a base body () having at least one upwardly-projecting sidewall (), said mounting device comprises a mounting element () for connecting to the sidewall () of the base body () of the aeration element ().
