In a cabinet, particularly an equipment cabinet for electrical and electronic components and equipment having a particularly simple construction and ensuring an optimum accessibility to the installation area as well as a high security against unauthorized opening, not only the front door and a rear wall, but also the side walls are provided with hinges and can be articulated, as desired, either on the right or left. The hinge system has upper and lower hinge pins and two hinge pin receptacles in each corner connector of a frame. The two hinge pin receptacles are in each case formed in a shoulder of the corner connector.

Cabinet, particularly equipment cabinet

In a basic rack, particularly for equipment cabinets, which has transverse profiles, depth profiles and vertical profiles connected by corner connectors, the profiles engageable on the fixing extensions of the corner connectors are fixed from the inside of the basic rack with the aid of one clamping device and one connecting element in a clamping fastening. In an advantageous development the transverse, depth and vertical profiles, as well as the associated fixing extensions of the corner connectors having a triangular construction.

Basic rack

In a basic rack, particularly for equipment cabinets, transverse profiles and depth profiles are connected by corner connectors to an upper and lower frame. Vertical profiles connect the upper and lower frame in the area of the corner connectors. At least the transverse and depth profiles are made from a triangular, particularly rectangular hollow profile. The corner connectors are provided with two complimentary constructed triangular fixing extensions for mounting the transverse and depth profiles. The vertical profiles have terminal end fastening inserts for fastening to the corner parts of the corner connectors.

A cabinet system, especially for a wall cabinet, with a frame, which has a rear wall, built-in brackets and vertical profiles, and with lining parts, which, following mounting and cabling of electrical appliances and components, are fastened to the frame. The cabinet, which can be installed by one person, is easy to fit, and customer-friendly and permits good accessibility and cabling, also ensures high security against any unauthorized openings. The built-in brackets are directly inserted or locked on the rear wall and then secured thereto.
