A device for positioning components, in particular for use in bodymaking of the motor vehicle industry, is provided with a rotatable receiving plate () for the components and a drive device for turning the receiving plate () about an axis of rotation (), preferably arranged perpendicularly in relation to the plane of the receiving plate (). A drive device is provided with a toggle clamping device () known per se, wherein a linear drive () is connected via a toggle lever to a swivel pin (). The swivel pin () is positively and/or non-positively connected via a receptacle () to the receiving plate () and provides an adjustable swivelling movement of the receiving plate () into a locked, advanced end position.

Device for positioning components

A device for machining components, in particular of a vehicle body has a transport and positioning unit for the component and several machining stations, which are arranged around said unit and to which the component held by a component holder of the transport and positioning unit can be fed in a position ready for machining. To transport the component from one machining station to the other machining stations while taking up the smallest possible surface area, the transport and positioning unit includes a rotor and a pivoting arm that is mounted eccentrically on said rotor, driven in opposition to the latter and supports the component holder. The drives of the rotor and the pivoting arm are synchronized in such a way that the component holder is displaced along a closed curved path comprising spaces between the neighboring apexes of said path.

Device for machining components, in particular of a vehicle body

A handling for components having a similar shape, particularly motor vehicle body parts, wherein a gripper on an arm of a robot can grip the component and its similarly-shaped other components with one and the same clamp device without re-tooling, is equipped with two gripper chucks on each clamp device. However, only one gripper chuck can be steered into the grab positions in each case, while the other gripper chuck is then located in the parking position outside a grab area on the component.

A kit is provided for assembling a modular bracket () used, in particular for placing gripping and clamping devices or clamping components, in particular metal sheets on an assembly line. The kit has a base part () fixable on a solid support or a carrier, a tube () fixable to the base part () and a head part () which is fixable to the tube (). The head part includes connecting surfaces for fixing the gripper on the clamping device. According to the invention, the head part () is continuously height-adjustable with respect to the tube (), is pivotable about the central longitudinal axis thereof and, afterwards, frictionally and form-fittingly connectable to the tube ().

Kit for assembling a modular bracket

The invention relates to a device for clamping and welding pieces of sheet metal ( ) which are placed against one another, preferably for use in the area of automobile manufacturing. In addition, stop elements ( &prime;) for detecting the position of the edges of at least one of the pieces of sheet metal ( ) are arranged on the clamping tool ( ) in order to position the pieces of sheet metal ( ) with regard to one another and/or to the welding head ( ).
