In a device for recording deformation of a rotor head of a work spindle, at least one magnet is arranged on a stator or a rotor of the spindle, the magnetic field of which penetrates a measurement section of the rotor head, which is traversed by an axial flow of force during clamping of a tool or tool carrier on the rotor head by a tool clamping device arranged in the rotor. The rotor head has a magnetizability or magnetization that varies in the axial direction in its measurement section, and at least one direction-sensitive magnetic field sensor is arranged on the stator radially opposite the measurement section, which is connected to an evaluation device to determine axial deformation of the rotor head as a function of rotation angle from the strength of the magnetic field as a function of rotation angle recorded by the sensor during one revolution of the rotor.

Device and method for monitoring a work spindle

A tool or workpiece holder with a receiving body and a clamping device for clamping a tool or a workpiece in a receiving opening of the receiving body. The clamping device comprises a first clamping element, which can be moved in a receiving portion of the receiving body at right angles to a central axis of the receiving opening, and a second clamping element, which can be moved relative to the first clamping element at right angles to the central axis of the receiving opening by means of an actuating element. The second clamping element has conical bottom clamping surfaces on the two clamping elements for inserting the tool or workpiece into the receiving opening. An ejecting mechanism is disposed on the first clamping element for ejecting the tool or workpiece from the receiving opening when the clamping elements are moved into a disengaged position.

Tool or workpiece holder

A method of monitoring a tool clamping device mounted on a machine spindle, the clamping force of which tool clamping device is generated by a spring assembly which exerts a force in the direction of the clamping position on an actuating element actuating the clamping or the release of a tool or tool holder. In the method, the spring force and the displacement of the actuating element are continuously measured during the release and/or clamping of a tool or tool holder and recorded as functions of the time. These recorded functions are used to identify at least one parameter characteristic for the status of the tool clamping device. Based on the spring force and the displacement over time, a spring characteristic curve is plotted in the form of the spring force as a function of displacement, the analysis of which spring characteristic curve provides information about a number of characteristic parameters.

Method of monitoring a tool clamping device

A clamping device for clamping a workpiece or a tool or, more specifically, a tool holding fixture in a machine part of a machine tool includes a tension rod slidably mounted within the machine part; a clamping set movable by the tension rod between clamped and released positions; a tension spring dedicated to the tension rod so as to generate the pull-in force of the clamping set; and a release mechanism, by which the clamping set can be moved against the force of the tension spring into the released position by the tension rod. To make possible effective clamping at optimum force, the tension spring is clamped between first and second rod parts of the tension rod. The second rod part can move relative to the first rod part, and, as the clamping set moves into the released position, is compressed on both ends by the release mechanism by moving the two rod parts in opposite directions.

Clamping device and machining unit comprising such a clamping device

A clamping assembly for a clamping device for clamping of a workpiece or tool or a toolholder on machine component with a clamping cone movable axially via a tension rod and several clamping elements arranged spaced from each other in the peripheral direction on the outside of the clamping cone, which can be moved between a radially outer clamped position and a radially inner released position by axial movement of the tension rod. The clamping cone includes two parts movable opposite each other in the axial direction.

A clamping device for clamping a workpiece or a tool or a tool holder to a machine component of a machine tool, having an axially movable tension rod, a clamping assembly which can be moved by the tension rod between a clamped position and a released position, a spring assembly dedicated to the tension rod with a plurality of series-connected spring units for generating the clamping and draw-in force of the clamping assembly, and a releasing unit by which the clamping assembly can be moved by the tension rod against the force of the spring assembly into the released position. To ensure the most uniform load possible, the axial spring deflection of the spring units is limited by a stop when the spring assembly is compressed.

Clamping device

A clamping device for clamping a workpiece or a tool or a tool holder to a machine component of a machine tool, including an axially movable tension rod, a clamping assembly which can be moved by the tension rod between a clamped position and a released position, a spring assembly dedicated to the tension rod for generating the clamping and draw-in force of the clamping assembly, and a releasing unit by which the clamping assembly can be moved by the tension rod against the force of the spring assembly into the released position. The spring assembly has a minimum of one spring unit with a plurality of flexible spring members disposed between a first and a second spring holder, with the first and second spring holders being secured against torsion relative to the tension rod.

In a device for protecting a work spindle () that is rotatably supported in a spindle head (A,B) of a processing machine and/or a tool () clamped in the work spindle () from collisions with obstacles in the processing chamber () of the processing machine, a plurality of distance sensor modules () are arranged on or in a spindle nose (B) that forms the termination of the spindle head (A,B) toward the processing chamber () such that they point toward the processing chamber () and are connected to a common signal processing unit (). When an obstacle is present in a predetermined area of the processing chamber (), this signal processing unit generates a warning signal based on the measuring signals delivered by the individual distance sensor modules (). An output () of the signal processing unit, at which the warning signal is generated, is connected to the machine control () of the processing machine. The distance sensor modules () preferably consist of radar or ultrasonic sensor modules.

Device for protecting a work spindle

In a device for monitoring the position of a tool or machine element on or in a work spindle or tool chuck, in particular, in a machining apparatus, the work spindle or tool chuck has at least one channel that defines a waveguide, which is suitable for propagating electromagnetic waves, that leads from an external surface of the work spindle or tool chuck to the tool or machine element. At least one radar system is provided and arranged outside the work spindle or tool chuck in such a manner that it is capable of irradiating a radar signal from the outer surface into the channel and or receiving a radar signal reflected back from the channel. The radar signal is connected to a signal-processing device that determines a measure of the position of the tool or machine element relative to the work spindle or tool chuck based on at least one radar signal irradiated into the channel and reflected back from the channel.

Device for monitoring the position of a tool or machine element

The invention relates to a clamping device for removably mounting a tool () or a tool fixture in a receiving part (). Said clamping device comprises several pincers elements () which are concentrically arranged around a central axis () within the receiving part () and are impinged upon by a tension spring () so as to be moved into a clamping position in order to brace the tool () or the tool fixture. In order to be able to automatically replace a tool without using much force and energy, an axially movable closing element () is assigned to the pincers elements (). Said closing element () impinges the pincers elements () in a forward position that is advanced in the direction of the pincers elements () for mounting purposes in the clamping position thereof, which is swiveled inward by means of the tension spring (), while being movable into a retracted position with the aid of a detaching device () in order to release the pincers elements ().

The invention pertains to a chuck for detachable connection of two machine parts, with a chuck assembly arranged on or in a first machine part and a cooperating complementary part on or in a second machine part. The chuck assembly contains an axially displaceable tensioning element and several gripper elements associated with the tensioning element and radially movable by axial displacement of the latter, with a clamping surface for contact with a corresponding opposing surface of the complementary part. In order to allow a subsequent alignment or adjustment of the chucked machine part, the complementary part contains an outer part, an intermediate part arranged in the outer part, and an inner part arranged in the intermediate part, which are connected to one another by flexible outer and inner webs and are otherwise separated by outer and inner gaps. The intermediate and inner parts are adjustable in different directions relative to the outer part.

The subject matter of the present invention relates to a clamping device for clamping a tool or a tool holder () in a machine spindle (), comprising a drawbar () that can axially move back and forth between a clamping position and a release position, a clamping spring () for actuating the drawbar () in the direction of the clamping position, a minimum of one sensor () for monitoring the clamping force, and a clamping cone () having a plurality of clamping elements () that rest against its outside surface, which clamping elements, via the axial movement of the clamping cone () by means of the drawbar (), can be moved back and forth between a clamping position in which the tool or tool holder () is retained and a release position in which the tool or tool holder () is released. To make possible an easy and reliable transmission of the measured data acquired by the sensor throughout the operating range of the clamping device, a transponder assembly () with a stationary stator ring () and a rotor ring () that can be axially moved by the lifting movement of the drawbar () within the stator ring () is dedicated to the sensor () for the wireless transmission of data and energy.

The invention relates to a clamping device for clamping a tool (), or tool holder in a working spindle (), in particular, of a machine tool, comprising a drawbar (), arranged to be displaced within the working spindle (), a clamping set (), arranged in the working spindle () and displaceable between a clamping position and a released position by means of the drawbar (), a spring arrangement () provided for the drawbar () to generate the drawing force for the clamping set () and a releasing unit (), by means of which the clamping set () may be moved into the released position by the drawbar () against the force of the spring arrangement (). According to the invention, a simplified operation of the clamping device may be achieved, whereby the releasing unit () may be operated by an electrical actuator ().

The invention relates to a device for clamping a hollow shaft tool () or tool holder provided with a conical hollow shaft () in a machine spindle () provided with a taper bore (), especially for use in a machine tool. The device comprises a clamping sleeve (), axially displaceable inside the machine spindle (), a tow-rod () for displacing the clamping sleeve () and being movable between a release position and a clamping position, and a plurality of pincer elements () associated with the clamping sleeve (). The pincer elements are radially displaced by the displacement of the clamping sleeve () and have clamping faces () to be placed on a conical inner surface () of the conical hollow shaft () and an opposite surface () on the work spindle (). The aim of the invention is to provide a clamping device of the aforementioned kind wherein the hollow shaft tool is reliably retained in the machine spindle even when the tow-bar is already released. For this purpose, the clamping sleeve () can be axially displaced relative to the tow-bar () and is axially biased by a compression spring () against the motion of release of the tow-bar ().
