Disclosed is a method of a mold-spraying apparatus for use with a molding apparatus. The mold-spraying apparatus has: (i) a spray nozzle, (ii) a rotatable shaft being supportive of the spray nozzle, and (ii) a camming surface. The method includes: (a) engaging the rotatable shaft with the camming surface, and (b) moving the camming surface so that the rotatable shaft may rotate.

A simplified perform handling device including an end-effector arranged to substantially conform, in use, to an end portion of a preform and to seal therewith. The device also includes an aligning jig to align the preform with the end-effector. The device provides improved preform thermal and angular orientation characteristics when used in a transfer apparatus of an injection blow molding system, or simplified end-of-arm tool for two-stage preform production. The device may also be operated to condition a preform retained on the injection mold core plate assembly of an injection mold.

Apparatus for handling injection molded preforms

Apparatus includes an injection molding unit and a power source for the unit including at least one hydraulic pump and an electric motor for driving said pump. A concrete mounting base is provided and a steel mounting plate affixed to the concrete mounting plate mounting the power source, with the steel mounting plate including a mounting structure therein mounting said power source. A method is also provided for mounting an injection molding apparatus.
