An access control terminal includes guidance members to establish an access lane having a signal- or blocking element and a multi-beam phased antenna array. An electronic gate controller is connected to the multi-beam phased antenna array to communicate via Bluetooth protocol with mobile Bluetooth communication devices. A proximity sensor is arranged within the access lane to detect a patron approaching an entry area of the access lane, and the gate controller is configured to enable data input supplied by the Bluetooth protocol via the multi beam phased antenna array after the proximity sensor indicates the presence of a patron to request transmission of the access credentials from the smartphone. The gate controller is configured to command the signal- or blocking element to move to the open state if the access credentials are validated and the field strength indicator (RSSI) values are within predefined limits.

Access control terminals

A device for checking access permissions includes an access area with guidance devices for forming an access lane for separating people or objects, in which blocking and/or signal means define an access threshold. A gate controller having a Bluetooth radio interface allows an access permission to be read from mobile data carriers, and positive validation of the access permission results in the access controller releasing the blocking and/or signal means and thus allowing separate passage through the access threshold. An access lane has an associated multiphase antenna group, the transmission/reception antennas of which are actuated by a Bluetooth transceiver module via an antenna feed network in such a way that at least two antenna lobes form that are at different distances from the access threshold as seen in the direction of access.

Device for checking access permissions

An access control gate with a mechanical guide forms one or more access lanes for patrons. A contactless access reader which is connected to a software controlled verification system identifies access right of patrons shortly before the person approaches a gate threshold formed by two motor driven flaps which when closed protrude into the access lane from left and right of the lateral lane boundaries. A verification system activates the flaps when an access right has been granted. Two or more photoelectric barriers define a detection zone behind the gate threshold and detect the passage of patrons through the gate threshold and the exit of the detection zone. The flaps are closed with highest possible speed after the patron has left the detection zone regularly, and are moved with low speed if an irregular passage is detected.

In a device for controlling access in a passage lane, particularly for controlling people, comprising a housing for receiving electronic components, particularly comprising a reader for tickets, the housing forming a lateral delimitation of the passage lane, it is suggested, for simple and rapid maintenance and putting into operation, that the housing have housing openings () directed toward the passage lane (), the housing opening () be closable by covers (), and at least two of the covers () be implemented as supports for electrical and/or mechanical modular components, particularly an identification module for tickets, a controller component for controlling an access control, a data transfer module for data exchange with further electrical and/or mechanical components, and/or a display module for displaying information, the particular modular components being positioned on an interior of the cover () implemented as a support, and being replaceable together with the cover ().

Device for controlling access in a passage lane

In a device for access control, the authorizations are stored on tickets in the form of a barcode. A reader unit is connected to an evaluating unit and controls devices that signal and/or block access. The reader unit has an insertion zone for a ticket wherein the insertion zone is larger than a ticket dimension. A multidirectional laser scanner scans the entire insertion zone in several lines oriented at an oblique angle relative to one another. The device can be used with different ticket formats such as air-travel tickets and check cards.
