A discharger for discharging fluid includes a sleeve, a discharge section, a carriage including a receiving space disposed therein, the carriage cooperating with a proximal end of the sleeve such that the carriage is moveable relative to the sleeve, and a piercing tip having a flow channel configured to establish a flow connection for the fluid from the receiving space to an inlet of the discharge section, the piercing tip having a shell surface, the piercing tip being integrally formed with at least a portion of the sleeve or formed as a unitary separate piece linked with at least the portion of the sleeve, the shell surface of the piercing tip having a convexly curved configuration, and the sleeve surrounding a proximal end of the discharge section and having an outer diameter that is substantially the same as the inner diameter of the carriage.

Discharger with improved piercing tip

A discharger for discharging a predetermined amount of fluid from a separate container including a discharge section defining a longitudinal axis and having a proximal end and a distal end and having a discharge passage for the fluid extending between an inlet opening and an outlet opening of the discharge section. The discharger further includes an intermediate section including a distal portion cooperating with the proximal end of the discharge section and a proximal portion defining a receiving space which is adapted to be loaded with the separate container holding an amount of fluid to be discharged by the discharger. The distal portion and the proximal portion are formed in one piece and are interconnected by a breakable section.

A discharger for discharging a predetermined amount of fluid includes a housing defining a longitudinal first axis and having a proximal end and a distal end, a discharge section having a discharge passage for the fluid extending between an inlet opening and an outlet opening of the discharge section, a carriage cooperating with the proximal end region of the housing such that the carriage is moveable relative to the housing along the first axis, the carriage including a receiving space for the fluid, and a piercing tip having a flow channel for establishing a flow connection for the fluid from the receiving space to the inlet opening of the discharge section, the piercing tip defining a centrally extending longitudinal second axis and having a shell surface. The shell surface of the piercing tip has an essentially convexly curved.

A discharger comprising a housing, a piston arranged inside the housing and being movable between a first piston position and a second piston position, a hollow cylindrical container inside the housing, the container being movable between a first container position and a second container position, a first compartment defined within the housing, a second compartment defined within the container, an axially extending passage in the interior of the piston and in communication with the first compartment and a peripheral opening of the piston in the region of a proximal end of the piston, a sealing element configured to prevent communication between the second compartment and the peripheral opening of the piston when the container is in a first container position, and a releasable retaining device configured to retain the piston in a piston first position until the container has reached a second container position.

Dual-chamber syringe

A discharger for a fluid includes a housing having proximal and distal ends, a discharge device, the discharge device defining a passage between inlet and outlet openings, a carriage received in an end region of the housing and moveable relative to the housing between starting and discharge positions, in the starting position, the carriage protruding from the proximal end so as to be pushable into the housing and towards the discharge position, and the carriage defining a receiving space to be loaded with a separate container holding a fluid to be discharged, and an activation device configured to establish a flow connection for the fluid from within the receiving space to the inlet opening, the activation device being inoperative when the carriage is in the starting position and with the activation device establishing the flow connection when the carriage is in or being moved toward the discharge position.

An applicator for a fluid ingredient includes at least one storage chamber, at least one first predetermined breaking point or line configured in or at the storage chamber, and an actuation mechanism. The storage chamber has an outlet end with an initially sealed outlet via which a fluid ingredient can be output. The actuation mechanism is arranged at the storage chamber, and has at least one activation part capable of being displaced relative to the outlet end and by which at least one part or section of the storage chamber is capable of being axially displaced to activate the at least one first predetermined breaking point or line, on an activation of the applicator.

Applicator for a fluid ingredient and method of activating an applicator

A syringe includes a hollow body, a piston and a seal. The hollow body has a surrounding hollow body surface and forms a passage therein. An axis is formed in an axial longitudinal direction of the hollow body and the passage has a rear body opening and a front body opening arranged opposite to one another in the longitudinal direction. A first needle seat is formed at the front body opening, in which a needle cannula is arranged and relative to which the needle cannula is movable along the axis. The piston is arranged in the hollow body and is movable in the passage along the axis. The seal is able to be cancelled such that a receiving chamber and a supply space of the syringe are in flow communication in a release position.

A storage and mixing device includes a mixing compartment, two pistons that each extend from the mixing compartment and end in a displacement section, each piston defining a passageway having a first opening communicating with the mixing compartment and a second opening communicating with an inlet at the displacement section, and a housing having two piston guides and a cartridge compartment connected to the piston guide, each piston guide slidably receiving one of the pistons, and each cartridge compartment receiving a removable cartridge that includes a cavity for containing separate substances and an opening sealed by a cartridge seal. The displacement section of each piston includes a piercing member for piercing the cartridge seal of the cartridge arranged in the corresponding cartridge compartment, such that the displacement section enters the cartridge cavity and displaces the contained substance into the mixing compartment via the inlet and the passageway.

Apparatus and methods for storing and mixing separate substances

A cartridge is provided having at least one reception chamber (), which extends in the longitudinal direction, for a medium to be dispensed, having an end face () and a cartridge wall () which bound the reception chamber () and which are injection molded in one piece, with the end face () having an outlet for the medium, and with the cartridge wall () having a first film () at its inner side bounding the reception chamber () which extends over the total cartridge wall () and is non-releasably connected to the cartridge wall (). A method of manufacturing such a cartridge as well as a multicomponent cartridge are furthermore provided by the invention.

An apparatus for a test liquid includes an inlet device defining a chamber configured to receive the liquid, a preparation device defining a preparation chamber and including a preparation reagent to be reacted with the liquid, an analysis device defining an exposure chamber associated with the preparation chamber and including an analysis unit to be exposed to the prepared test liquid for indicating information on the test liquid, a housing defining a longitudinal axis, and a guiding device configured to guide the inlet device, the preparation device or the analysis device so as to limit the motion of the inlet device, the preparation device or the analysis device to a sequence of alternating rotational and axial movements, each axial movement of the inlet device, the preparation device or the analysis device requiring activation through a preceding rotational movement of the inlet device, the preparation device or the analysis device.

Apparatus for analyzing a test liquid

An apparatus for analyzing a test liquid includes an inlet chamber, a preparation chamber and an analysis element. The inlet chamber receives the test liquid. Test liquid is configured to be brought from the inlet chamber via the preparation chamber onto the analysis element. A volume of the preparation chamber is capable of being increased, the test liquid being sucked into the preparation chamber from the inlet chamber due to an increase of the volume of the preparation chamber. A fixed quantity of test liquid is thus sucked into the preparation chamber, which enables precise analysis results possible.

A cartridge is proposed having at least one reception chamber (), which extends in the longitudinal direction, for a medium to be dispensed, having a head part () and a cartridge wall () which bound the reception chamber (), wherein a piston () is provided which can be introduced into the reception chamber () at the end remote from the head part () and which is sealingly displaceable along the cartridge wall () in the longitudinal direction, and wherein the cartridge wall () is manufactured from a cardboard and is sealingly connected to the head part (). A multicomponent cartridge is furthermore provided by the invention.

Cartridge and multicomponent cartridge

A discharging device simultaneously delivers at least two flowable components of a multi-component compound from different storage volumes. The discharging device includes at least two pistons which are movable along an extension direction thereof to deliver the components from the at least two storage volumes, and an advancing unit for moving the pistons along the extension direction thereof. The advancing unit has at least one energy storage element, which is provided for supplying a force for moving the pistons and at least one release element, which is provided for releasing the movement of the pistons by the at least one storage element.

Dispensing apparatus

A dispensing apparatus simultaneous discharges at least two flowable components of a multi-component mass from different storage volumes. The dispensing apparatus includes a passive mixing unit having a central mixing passage extending along a flow direction and being configured to guide the components mixed with one another, and including at least two inlets opening into the central mixing passage, the inlets being associated with the same storage volume and open into the mixing passage at different positions along the flow direction.

Dispensing apparatus for a multi-component mass

A dispensing apparatus has a storage container with two storage chambers which are closed by a closure element to a closed position and from which storage chambers components can be dispensed via component outlets in a dispensing position. A change from the closed position into the dispensing position is carried out by a rotation of the storage container with respect to the closure element. The storage container and the closure element are made in one piece in the closed position and are only connected to one another via connection webs. The connection webs are designed so that they tear off on a rotation of the storage container with respect to the closure element from the closed position into the dispensing position and thus the component outlets are opened.
