The invention relates to fungicidal compositions comprising as active ingredient a combination of components A) and B) as defined in the patent claims, to a method of controlling phytopathogenic diseases on crop plants using such a composition and to a method of protecting natural substances of vegetable and/or animal origin and/or their processed forms using such a composition.

Fungicidal compositions

The present invention relates to a process for the preparation of compounds of formula I wherein Rand Rare each independently of the other hydrogen or C-Calkyl and Ris CFor CFH, by wherein Rand Rare as defined for formula I, with at least one reducing agent to form a compound of formula III wherein Rand Rare as defined for formula I, and wherein Rand Rare as defined for formula I, and wherein Q is chlorine, fluorine, bromine, iodine, hydroxy or C-Calkoxy and Ris as defined for formula I, to form the compound of formula I;and to novel intermediates for use in that process.

Process for the production of amides

The invention relates to fungicidal compositions comprising as active ingredient a combination of components A) and B) as defined in the patent claims, to a method of controlling phytopathogenic diseases on crop plants using such a compositions and to a method of protecting natural substances of vegetable and/or animal origin and/or their processed forms using such a composition.

The present invention relates to compounds of Formula (I) wherein R, R, Ror Rare as defined in claimor a salt or N-oxide thereof and their use in methods for the control and/or prevention of fungal infection, particularly in plants. The compounds claimed are isothiazole and pyrazole derivatives. 

Isothiazole and pyrazole derivatives as fungicides

A fungicidal compound of formula (I): where Het is a 5- or 6-membered heterocyclic ring containing one to three heteroatoms, each independently selected from oxygen, nitrogen and sulphur, the ring being substituted by groups R, Rand R; Ris hydrogen, optionally substituted (Calkyl, optionally substituted (CalkylC(&#x2550;O), optionally substituted (CalkylC(&#x2550;O)O, optionally substituted (C)alkoxy(C)alkyl, optionally substituted allyl, optionally substituted propargyl or optionally substituted allenyl; R, R, Rand Rare each, independently, hydrogen, halogen, optionally substituted (C)alkyl, optionally substituted (C)alkoxy or optionally substituted (C)alkoxy(Calkyl; Ris an organic group containing three to thirteen carbon atoms and at least one silicon atom and, optionally, one to three heteroatoms, each independently selected from oxygen, nitrogen and sulphur, and is optionally substituted by one to four independently selected halogen atoms; R, Rand Rare each, independently, hydrogen, halogen, Calkyl, Chaloalkyl, Calkoxy(C)alkyl or cyano, where at least one of R, Rand Ris not hydrogen; and X is O or S; or an N-oxide thereof; and when present, each optional substituent on alkyl moieties, allyl, propargyl and allenyl is, independently, selected from halogen, hydroxy, cyano, methoxycarbonyl, ethoxycarbonyl, methoxy, ethoxy, methylsulfonyl, ethylsulfonyl, difluoromethoxy, trifluoromethoxy and trifluorothiomethoxy.

Chemical compounds

The invention relates to a fungicidally active compound of formula (I): as defined in claim; to the preparation of these compounds, to novel intermediates used in the preparation of these compounds, to agrochemical compositions which comprise at least one of the novel compounds as active ingredient, to the preparation of the compositions mentioned and to the use of the active ingredients or compositions in agriculture or horticulture for controlling or preventing infestation of plants by phytopathogenic microorganisms, preferably fungi.

Heterocyclic a amide derivatives useful as microbiocides

A method of controlling phytopathogenic diseases on useful plants or plant propagation material thereof, which comprises applying to said plant propagation material a fungicidally effective amount of a compound of formula (I) wherein Ris trifluoromethyl or difluoromethyl and Ris hydrogen or methyl, or a tautomer of such a compound, is particularly effective in controlling or preventing fungal diseases of crop plants.

A method of controlling phytopathogenic diseases on useful plants or on propagation material thereof, which comprises applying to the useful plants, the locus thereof or propagation material thereof a combination of components A) and B) in a synergistically effective amount, wherein component A) is a compound of formula I wherein Ris difluoromethyl or trifluoromethyl; Y is &#x2014;CHR&#x2014; or and Ris hydrogen or C-Calkyl; or a tautomer of such a compound; andcomponent B) is a compound selected from compounds known for their fungicidal and/or insecticidal activity, is particularly effective in controlling or preventing fungal diseases of useful plants.

A method of controlling phytopathogenic diseases on useful plants or on propagation material thereof, which comprises applying to the useful plants, the locus thereof or propagation material thereof a combination of components A) and B) in a synergistically effective amount, wherein component A) is a compound of formula (I), wherein Ris difluoromethyl or trifluoromethyl; Y is &#x2014;CHR&#x2014; or formula (DD) and Ris hydrogen or C-Calkyl; or a tautomer of such a compound; and component B) is a compound selected from compounds known for their fungicidal and/or insecticidal activity, is particularly effective in controlling or preventing fungal diseases of useful plants. 

Synergistic fungicidal compositions
