A carrier component for a vehicle application, formed by two half-shells that are welded to one another at contact sides. When assembling the two half-shells for joining same at the contact sides, in a position in which the two half-shells are arranged above one another, the point of contact of the lower half-shell protrudes in relation to the external closed side of the other half-shell. The point of contact of one of the two half-shells protrudes inward in relation to the internal closed side of the other half-shell. A method for producing a carrier component from two half-shells is also disclosed.

A module carrier assembly for positioning between the A-pillars of a motor vehicle body comprising a transverse carrier configured as a hollow body profile and at least one steering column holder connected to the transverse carrier and supported at the outer side of the transverse carrier in the x-direction. The at least one steering column holder is configured as an angle piece and is supported by a support surface provided by a first limb at a first outer wall of the transverse carrier. The steering column holder has a further limb extending below the transverse carrier. The steering column holder carries a support projection which extends through the outer wall of the transverse carrier adjoining the support surface of the steering column holder and up to at least the opposite wall of the transverse carrier. The support projection is connected in a vibration-coupled manner to this opposite wall.

Module support assembly for a motor vehicle

The disclosure relates to an assembly for a motor vehicle with an auxiliary frame to connect to a wheel suspension, whereby the auxiliary frame may be constructed in a shell construction having an upper shell and a lower shell. The shells may enclose an internal shell space and be rigidly connected to each other. The assembly may also comprise a shock-absorbing structure. The shock-absorbing structure can be fully or partially integrated in the internal shell space of the auxiliary frame in the form of an insert and immovably positioned within it.

Assembly for a motor vehicle with an auxiliary frame and an impact absorption structure

A subframe for a motor vehicle axle optimized for stiffness and weight is provided. Such a subframe may comprise a base member, a cross member, and a stiffening element. The base member may have an upper shell, a lower shell connected to the upper shell, and a connecting point formed on one of the shells for a pendulum bearing of a pendulum bar. The cross member may extend in a transverse direction, be attached to the base member, and have mounts for longitudinal members of the motor vehicle. The stiffening element may be connected to at least one shell in a region of the connecting point. Also described is a production method for a subframe.
