A method and apparatus for cyclically shielding a work chamber opening () when loading and unloading workpieces using a conveyor device () that passes through the work chamber opening. A first shielding element () is placed at a workpiece loading station (), and a second shielding element () is placed behind a second workpiece placement location (), as viewed in the conveying direction. When the first workpiece is loaded into the work chamber (), the first shielding element () is placed at or in the work chamber opening () by advancing the conveyor device (). The first shielding element () is then removed from the work chamber opening () and placed behind the second shielding element (). These steps are repeated with subsequent workpiece placement locations (, . . . ) of the conveyor device () and with respective cross-over changes of the shielding elements ().

Method for cyclically screening a working chamber opening and a screening device for carrying out the method

An airless blaster arrangement () for the surface treatment of objects with blasting agents, comprising an airless blaster () consisting of several radially arranged thrower blades () which are secured to at least one side disk (). An area () for the projection of blasting agents is respectively provided between two thrower blades. A distributor element () with a star-shaped cross-section formed by several guide ribs () extends coaxially with respect to the airless blaster () and is connected thereto in rotationally fixed manner. One guide rib () of the distributor element () is respectively joined to a thrower blade (). A blasting agent guide channel () of the distributor element () leads into the blasting agent projection area ().
