A method for treating inflammation and/or autoimmune diseases comprises administering to a subject in need thereof, a composition comprising a CDK8 inhibitor. In another aspect, a method for increasing IL-10 production comprises administering to a subject in need thereof a CDK8 inhibitor. In another aspect, a method for enhancing Tcell differentiation, comprising administering a composition comprising a CDK8 inhibitor. In certain example embodiments, the subject suffers from an inflammatory bowel disease. In certain other example embodiments, the subject requires immunosuppression to prevent rejection following a transplantation procedure.

Use of CDK8 inhibitors to treat diseases of inflammation and autoimmunity

The present invention relates to compounds that are useful for modulating hepatic cholesterol metabolism in an animal. The invention includes methods of making and using the compounds of the invention. The invention further provides methods of treating, preventing and/or alleviating a cholesterol related disorder, a cardiovascular disease and/or liver disease in an animal, such as a human, comprising administering compounds of the invention, or pharmaceutically acceptable salts or solvates thereof, to the animal.

Modulators of hepatic lipoprotein metabolism

A pair of safety sunglass, particularly for use when arc welding, includes auto darkening lenses having suitable characteristics for providing high intensity light protection during welding procedures. The sunglasses have a tight fitting frame conforming to an individual's face curvature. When an arc is struck, or another high intensity light source is present, the lenses instantly and automatically darken to protect the individual's eyes from damage. Each lens includes a plurality of layers for prohibiting the high intensity direct light rays from passing therethrough. A feature and benefit of such eyewear is that welding operations may be performed in confined spaces where a conventional welding face shield can not fit. When the welding is completed, the eyeglasses would quickly return to their sun tinted state allowing them to be used as a conventional pair of sunglasses.

A tool for adjustably spacing components during an alignment procedure. The inventive device includes a spreader plate pivotally mounted to an engaging yoke. A handle assembly is coupled to the yoke to facilitate manual placement of the yoke and spreader plate between two components to be adjusted. An adjustment assembly is rotatably coupled to the handle assembly for selectively pivoting the spreader plate relative to the yoke to separate the components to a desired spacing.

Expanding adjustment tool

A safety valve cap providing an elongated inner chamber with an internally screw-threaded open lower end for threaded engagement on the extended end of a conventional valve stem associated with a vehicle tire, for example. A check valve is movably positioned in the inner chamber between a compression spring and a depressor plate. When the safety valve cap is threaded onto the valve stem, the depressor plate actuates the valve stem check valve releasing compressed air into a first portion of the inner chamber until the air pressure therein is balanced with the tire pressure. A subsequent increase in the tire pressure will move the body portion of the movable check valve outwardly against the forces of the compression spring, actuating said check valve and releasing the excess pressure through a second chamber portion and an orifice in the end wall of the cap to the atmosphere until the air pressure in the tire is slightly overbalanced by the forces of the compression spring, whereupon the body portion of the check valve will move inwardly stopping the flow of compressed air.
