A connector arrangement for a motor vehicle rear-view mirror includes a bayonet type connector, a mirror head support, and a fixing member. The bayonet type connector includes a coupling member having a first portion, and a base bracket having a second portion and adapted to attach to the motor vehicle. The mirror head support is mounted to the base bracket. The coupling member is engaged to the mirror head support and the base bracket. The fixing member is located in the first and second portions, and is adapted to be inserted into the second portion from the first portion and towards the base bracket. Insertion of the fixing member prevents rotation of the coupling member with respect to the base bracket and about a center axis.

A fixing device for position regulating mechanisms for external rear-view mirrors for motor vehicles, applicable to external rear-view mirrors of the type which are comprised of a support (), attached to which is a housing () which encases or is part of the aforementioned position regulating mechanism (), to which a mirror support plate is affixed, it being possible to operate the same, manually or electrically, from the interior of the vehicle. The support () comprises elastic pressure exertion means () comprising a portion of the base () arranged on the support () and are provided with at least one tab (), which pressure exertion means () are intended to withstand the pressure of the housing of the regulating mechanism when the latter is attached to the support by means of the fixing means, said pressure means being elastically distorted in such a way that they exert an effort force on the housing against the fixing means.

Fixing device for position regulating mechanisms for external rear-view mirrors on motor vehicles

The regulating mechanism comprises a base member (), which can be coupled to the mounting (), and a cover (), in which a mirror mounting plate (), provided with a mirror glass (), is assembled. The mounting (), and/or the cover (), are provided with positioning means () of the mirror mounting plate (), enabling said plate () to be positioned in any of the positions habitually used, either manually or through a mechanical or electrical control device. The base member () and the cover () or the base member () and the mirror mounting plate () have respective and complementary dampening means which comprise, in the base member (), dampening means (), and in the cover (), or in the mirror mounting plate (), a dampening extension ().
