The present disclosure concerns an assembly () for an electromechanical brake booster () of a vehicle braking system (). The actuating unit comprises at least one actuating element that can be coupled to an electric motor by means of a transmission. The actuating unit also comprises an actuating member that can be coupled to a force input member. The brake booster comprises at least one housing in which at least sections of the actuating unit are received. At least one damping element is arranged between the at least one housing and at least the at least one actuating element.

A vacuum brake booster for a motor vehicle brake system, comprising a displaceable force input member that is coupled to or can be coupled to a brake pedal, a chamber arrangement arranged in a booster housing having at least one working chamber and at least one vacuum chamber, which are separated from one another via at least one movable wall, a control valve assembly that can be actuated by the force input member, and a force output member for transmitting an operating force to a downstream brake system. The at least one working chamber can be fluidically connected optionally to a negative pressure source or the atmosphere by way of the control valve assembly. The control valve assembly comprises a control valve housing, in which an actuating piston that is coupled with the force input member s displaceably arranged, and a first valve seat, and a second valve seat. Upon an actuation of the force input member, a throttle sleeve can be displaced from the initial position relative to the control valve housing by a predetermined functional path. During the displacement, the throttle sleeve is in abutment with the actuating piston such that a fluidic connection between the at least one working chamber and the ambient atmosphere by way of a throttle window is present. Upon exceeding the functional path, the throttle sleeve lifts off the actuating piston.

A vacuum brake servo includes a force input element, a control valve actuated by the force input element, a vacuum chamber connected to a vacuum source, and an operating chamber which, depending on the actuation of the force input element, can be connected to either the vacuum chamber or the surrounding atmosphere. The control valve has a control piston that can be actuated by the force input element and, together with a valve element, forms a seal seat having a seal seat diameter between the operating chamber and the surrounding atmosphere. In the area close to the seal seat, a guide channel is provided. When the seal seat is opened, air from the surrounding atmosphere flows into the operating chamber. The guide channel extends axially with a constant flow diameter over a predetermined length, wherein the flow diameter is less than or equal to the seal seat diameter.

A brake force generator for a motor vehicle brake system, comprises a displaceable force input element connected or connectable to a brake pedal, a control valve actuable in accordance with a displacement of the force input element, a chamber arrangement disposed in a booster housing and controllable by the control valve and comprises at least one vacuum chamber and at least one working chamber, which are separated from one another by at least one movable wall connected to the control valve, and a force output element for supplying a brake force to a downstream brake system, wherein the control valve with the force output element is biased by a resetting spring into a normal position, wherein the resetting spring is supported by its one end against the control valve. In this brake force generator, for improving the assembly properties it is provided that a support ring is provided, against which the resetting spring is supported by its other end, wherein the support ring may be brought into supportive interaction with the booster housing.
