A rotary hydraulic device of the displacement pump type having coaxial rotor and stator and vanes axially slidable in the rotor, the stator comprising at least one bottom surface formed with a variable number of deformations having rectilinear zones suitable for the operation on the recesses by the vanes. The recesses are made in movable elements of the stator such that the depth of the recesses can be made variable thus providing a device of variable capacity. The device is applicable to brakes and dampeners, as well as to engines and pumps.

Rotary hydraulic axially slidable vane device of variable capacity

A hydraulic motor comprises vanes slidable axially in lodgings of a rotor against a continuous stator bottom surface. The motor works with a hydrostatic transmission of power applied to rolling stock. The bottom surface has recesses formed therein on movable elements of stator wherein a constant pilot pressure is fed to said movable elements and the motor is a self regulated variable capacity motor since the capacity thereof results from the depth of the recesses due to the opposition of two forces, one from the pilot pressure and the other from a pressure coming from the resisting torque.

Hydraulic motor and hydrostatic power transmission using such motor

The invention relates to a rotary electrohydraulic device of the volumetrical pump type having stator and rotor as well as vanes axially slidable in said rotor. According to the invention, the intermediary space between the rotor and the stator has an axial longitudinal circulary variable interval partly defined by a continuous stator bottom surface of a constant width, said slidable vanes coming to bear constantly and totally on said continuous bottom surface, which is single for a considered set of said vanes. The device according to the invention is mainly applicable as a brake or slackening means but can also work as a motor and a pump.

Rotary electrohydraulic device with axially sliding vanes

An electrohydraulic rotary brake comprises an inner core, at least one energizing winding, a cylindrical amagnetic insert and an annular part outside the core and the insert. A cylindrical bore is excentric with respect to the cylindrical peripheral surface of the insert, recesses being provided with magnetizable sliding vanes and a brake fluid. On a rotary shaft, are mounted lateral flanges in fluid-tight manner, the inner core being fast to the rotary shaft and to the insert, all three being arranged so as to constitute a rotor for the brake. The annular part outside the core and the insert constitutes an annular stator to which the lateral flanges are fixed and with the bore excentric with respect to the peripheral surface of the insert constituting the outer part of the rotor. The recesses are formed in the cylindrical amagnetic insert and extend radially therein on both sides so that the vanes are movable between a position of complete freedom of the rotor with respect to the annular stator, in which they are positioned close to the rotor core, and a braking position in which they are positioned close to said annular stator, so that, under the effect of a variation in a pre-determined sense of the current passing through the energizing winding, the vanes can be attracted towards said stator and thus define peripheral chambers of different volumes which, by the forced passage of respective volumes of fluid from one chamber to the other, cause between the vanes and the stator a severe throttling and thus the braking torque of the rotor.

Electrohydraulic rotary brake

The drive uses a recessed wall or partition between the pole-rings of the two rotors to substantially diminish the occurrence and strength of eddy currents. The recesses may be in the form of grooves, depressions or axial bores which reduce the mass of the wall. The wall is further reinforced by non-magnetic electrically non-conductive or insulated elements of high tensile strength to compensate for the reduction in strength caused by the grooves, depressions or bores.
