It is hereby disclosed a direct-to-garment printer comprising: a print zone; a loading zone; and a conveyor to receive the garment and to move the garment bi-directionally along a transport direction between the print zone and the loading zone; wherein the printer further comprises a printbar located in the print zone, the printbar extending longitudinally along a width of the print zone and having a plurality of nozzles that span the width of the print zone.

Direct-to-garment printing with stationary print nozzles

A method to calibrate a printer, in which printing of a plurality of uniform area fills using a variety of combinations of at least first and second types of correction is controlled, both the first and second type of correction being varied in the variety of combinations; and in which measurement of optical density uniformity of the plurality of uniform area fills is controlled.

To calibrate a printer

A printing system includes a print bar, a plurality of printheads installed on the print bar and an auxiliary printhead moveable parallel to the print bar. A number of first nozzles of the auxiliary printhead substitute for a number of second nozzles of the printheads during a nozzle servicing operation performed on the second nozzles.

Printing system servicing

According to one example, there is provided a printing system having a print bar on which are installable multiple printheads. The system comprises a nozzle servicing module moveable across the length of the print bar to selectively perform a nozzle servicing operation on a group of printhead nozzles.
