A method, system and network node are disclosed. According to one or more embodiments, a parent network node configured to communicate with a network node is provided. The parent network node is configured to, and/or includes a radio interface and/or includes processing circuitry configured to: enable a first timing configuration, wherein the first timing configuration enables downlink transmission timing for the network node to be aligned with the downlink transmission timing of the parent network node; and based on the first timing configuration, switch to a second timing configuration, wherein the second timing configuration enables uplink transmission timing of the network node to be aligned with the downlink transmission timing of the network node.

Techniques for enhancing performance in Industrial Internet-of-Things (IIoT) scenarios, including techniques for time-sensitive networking (TSN) and 5G wireless network integration. An example method, performed by a wireless device, comprises receiving system information (SI) from a radio base station (RBS) of a radio access network (RAN), the SI being indicative of support for TSN through the RBS, and establishing at least one TSN stream with an external data network, through the RBS. The example method further includes receiving a first timing signal from the wireless communications network, via the RBS, receiving a second timing signal from the external TSN data network to which the wireless device is connected, comparing the first timing signal to the second timing signal to determine an offset, and transmitting the offset to the wireless communications network.

Network architecture, methods, and devices for a wireless communications network

A method, system and apparatus for controlling reestablishment of integrated access and backhaul (IAB) nodes are disclosed. According to one or more embodiments, a first integrated access and backhaul (IAB) node is provided. The first IAB node includes processing circuitry configured to, responsive to receiving a radio link failure, RLF, indication from a second IAB node, consider at least the second IAB node to be at least temporarily unsuitable for camping on a cell of the second IAB node. The processing circuitry further configured to, responsive to the second IAB node being considered to be at least temporarily unsuitable for camping, cease to camp on the second IAB node for connection reestablishment.

Methods for controlling re-establishment of IAB nodes

A method where a first network node receives from a second network node a packet with a path identifier value in the header. A plurality of bearers associated with the path are determined based on the path identifier value and used to assign at least one resource to the packet before it is transmitted to a third network node based on the at least one resource.

A method performed by a first node. The first node operates in a communications network. The first node determines, based on a header of a packet, a first number of hops. The first number of hops are the hops the packet has to traverse in the communications network to reach a second node in the communications network. The header of the packet indicates a second number of hops between the second node and a third node in the communications network in a first path. The first node obtains a wired backhaul connection to a core network of the communications network from the third node. The first node then initiates routing the packet towards the second node based on the determined first number of hops.

Methods, a transmitter device and a receiver device are provided for communication of media access control (MAC) protocol data unit (PDU). According to an embodiment, the transmitter device determines an MAC PDU including an MAC subheader and transmits the MAC PDU to a receiver device. The MAC subheader includes a second logical channel identity (LCID) field which is an extension of a first LCID field. A presence of the second LCID field is indicated by an indicator that is included in the MAC subheader.

A method for transmission reliability comprises receiving, from a first network node at a second network node, a message indicating that a first connection between the first network node and a terminal device has failed. The message comprises an indication to initiate a second connection with the terminal device from the second network node. The second network node comprises a third connection established before the first connection failed. The first connection carries data transmitted in the third connection before the first connection failed, and the second connection carries data transmitted in the third connection after the first connection failed. According to certain embodiments, a method in a wireless device () includes transmitting a protocol data unit (PDU) or segment of a PDU on a first link and transmitting the PDU or the segment of the PDU on a second link. One or more retransmissions of the PDU or the segment of the PDU are scheduled on the second link. A positive acknowledgment is received from a receiver. The positive acknowledgement indicates a successful receipt of the PDU or the segment of the PDU on the first link. In response to receiving the positive acknowledgement, the one or more retransmissions of the PDU or the segment of the PDU on the second link are cancelled.

Systems and methods for removal of duplicated packets for transmission

A method and a first network node of a wireless network, for handling paging of a wireless device. A Radio Access Network Area, RANA, which is supported by the first network node, is registered in a database by network nodes supporting the RANA, including the first network node. The network nodes that support the RANA are then identified in the database. When it is detected that a wireless device needs to be paged in the RANA, e.g. for receiving data, a paging message is distributed to the identified set of network nodes as an instruction to perform radio transmission of the paging message. Further, which is available to the network nodes throughout the wireless network. Thereby, any network node in the wireless network, such as the first network node, is able to perform distribution of a paging message to all network nodes that support a particular RANA, as registered in the database.
