A method for monitoring battery cells of a primary on-board electrical system battery of a motor vehicle by galvanostatic impedance spectroscopy is provided. An AC signal having alternating currents of different frequencies is impressed onto the battery cells as an excitation signal, cell voltage signals of the battery cells are detected as frequency-dependent response signals to the excitation signal, impedance spectra of the battery cells are determined depending on the excitation signal and the response signals, and the primary on-board electrical system battery is divided into at least two subsections each having at least one battery cell in order to provide the excitation signal. The primary on-board electrical system battery is electrically connected to a secondary on-board electrical system battery of the motor vehicle.

An energy storage module, particularly a solid state battery, an energy storage system, a vehicle and a method for measuring an electrical voltage on an energy storage module or on an energy storage system is based on two stacked and series-connected energy storage cells, each have an anode layer and a cathode layer. A contact, which is electrically connected to an anode layer located within the stack of a first energy storage cell and to a cathode layer located within the stack of a second energy storage cell, which is adjacent to the first energy storage cell, leads out of the stack such that at least one contact can be contacted from outside the stack.

A vehicle energy store for the electrical supply of an electric drive unit of a motor vehicle, includes a connection of positive potential and a connection of negative potential connected to the drive unit when the vehicle energy store is operated normally. The energy store also includes a first section connecting the connection of positive potential and the connection of negative potential to each other and in which at least one electrical energy storage cell is disposed, and a second section parallel to the first section that connects the connection of positive potential and the connection of negative potential to each other and in which at least one electrical energy storage cell is disposed. At least one semiconductor switch element is configured to be controlled to interrupt a current flowing in a respective one of the first section and the second section is disposed in each of the first section and the second section.

A vehicle includes a power electronics unit for converting energy between a DC circuit and a polyphase machine, wherein the power electronics unit has a power module, a driver board, and a control board. The power electronics unit has two DC current rails, wherein the DC circuit can be connected to the same, and the power electronics unit has phase current rails, wherein the polyphase machine can be connected to the same. The number of the phase current rails corresponds to the number of the phases of the polyphase machine. The arrangement of the power module, the driver board, and the control board corresponds to a stacked or sandwiched construction, the phase current rails are electrically connected to the power module, and the control board has a passage for each of the phase current rails, wherein one phase current rail is fed through each passage.
