Technologies for selectively augmenting communications transmitted by a communication device include a communication device configured to acquire new user environment information relating to the environment of the user if such new user environment information becomes available. The communication device is further configured to create one or more user environment indicators based on the new user environment information, to display the one or more created user environment indicators via a display of the communication device and include the created user environment indicator in a communication to be transmitted by the communication device if the created user environment indicator is selected for inclusion in the communication.

Selectively augmenting communications transmitted by a communication device

Technologies for computing context replay include a computing device having a persistent memory and a volatile memory. The computing device creates multiple snapshots that are each indicative of a user's computing context at a corresponding sync point. The snapshots may include metadata created in response to system events, memory snapshots stored in a virtual machine, and/or video data corresponding to the computing context. At least a part of the snapshots are stored in the persistent memory. The computing device presents a timeline user interface based on the snapshots. The timeline includes multiple elements that are associated with corresponding sync points. The timeline elements may visually indicate a salience value that has been determined for each corresponding sync point. In response to a user selection of a sync point, the computing device activates a computing context corresponding to the snapshot for the selected sync point. Technologies for computing context replay with visual searching

Technologies for providing cues to a user of a cognitive cuing system are disclosed. The cues can be based on the context of the user. The cognitive cuing system communicates with a knowledge-based system which provides information based on the context, such as the name of a person and the relationship the user of the cognitive cuing system has with the person. The cues can be provided to the user of the cognitive cuing system through visual, auditory, or haptic means.

Various embodiments are directed to techniques for reducing electric power employed by devices of a game play monitoring system that collects data during game play in a sport. An apparatus may include an interaction detection component to monitor an interaction sensor of a playing piece to detect an interaction with a body, generate playing piece data recording an aspect of the interaction and determine whether the interaction maintains the playing piece within a close proximity to the body; and a communications component to use electric power from a power source to wirelessly transmit the playing piece data to a player device carried by the body via shorter range wireless communications or to an access point device via longer range wireless communications based on the determination, the shorter range wireless communications to consume electric power of the power source at a lesser rate. Techniques for low power monitoring of sports game play

Selective/controlled disclosure of user information to private workspaces of other users/invitees based on context/contextual relations, and a shared workspace or market to collaborate amongst the other users (e.g., to crowd-source gifts of interest to the recipient). Contextual disclosure may be based on common context or commonality under a set of conditions, such as a topic, which may include known topics of relationships amongst the users and/or undiscovered contexts. As an example, items of interest to each user are identified and clustered, keywords are assigned to the clusters indicative of topics/subjects of interests to the respective users, recipient keywords are compared to keywords of an invitee to identify common keywords as shared interests, and items of interest to the recipient that relate to the common keywords are disclosed to the invitee as a personalized wish-list. Keyword weighting and/or keyword/item level privacy designations may be provided to further control disclosure.

Technologies are presented that provide automated non-monetary bidding based on bidder-specific data. A method includes receiving, from a bid acceptance server, an information request associated with a bidder; collecting and analyzing data regarding one or more data points associated with the bidder and requested in the information request; packaging analysis results into a bid; and providing the bid to the bid acceptance server. The data points may be limited based on input from the bidder. The data analyzed may include electronically-available data associated with the bidder. The method may be performed at the bid acceptance server, at a device of a bidder, or at a combination of the two. Submitted bids may be ranked by the bid acceptance server according to a given algorithm.

Non-monetary bidding based on bidder-specific data

Various systems and methods for providing an adaptive zone of safety are described herein. An apparatus comprises a projector to project a lighted shape on a travel surface, the lighted shape demarcating the adaptive zone of safety; a monitor to monitor a path of a pedestrian travelling over the travel surface; and a computing module to adaptively adjust the lighted shape based on at least one of the travel surface or the path.
