The present disclosure relates to a method for total isotropic sensitivity, TIS, testing of a user equipment, UE. The method includes forwarding a first test signal towards the UE, wherein the first test signal is forwarded from a number of spherical coordinates around the UE; recording a respective RSS value; forwarding a second test signal towards the UE from the spherical coordinate; recording further RSS values for each of the different power levels of the second rest signal; calculating a linearization pattern which relates the further RSS values to the corresponding power levels of the second test signal; calculating a combined RSS value based on the RSS values recorded by the n receiver branches at the spherical coordinate in response to the first test signal; determining an equivalent isotropic sensitivity, EIS, value of the UE for the spherical coordinate; and calculating a EIS value for additional spherical coordinate(s).

Method for total isotropic sensitivity testing of a user equipment

The present disclosure relates to a measurement system for testing a device under test over-the-air. The measurement system comprises a signal generation and/or analysis equipment, several antennas, several reflectors and a test location for the device under test. The antennas are connected with the signal generation and/or analysis equipment in a signal-transmitting manner Each of the antennas is configured to transmit and/or receive an electromagnetic signal so that a beam path is provided between the respective antenna and the test location. The electromagnetic signal is reflected by one of the reflectors so that the electromagnetic signal corresponds to a planar wave, thereby providing indirect far field conditions for testing. A first reflector of the several reflectors is orientated at a first azimuth angle and at a first elevation angle with respect to a center of the test location. A second reflector of the several reflectors is orientated at a second azimuth angle and at a second elevation angle with respect to the center of the test location. The second elevation angle is different to the first elevation angle. The second azimuth angle is different to the first azimuth angle. Further, a method of performing an over-the-air test of a device under test is described.

Measurement system and method of performing an over-the-air test

A system for near-field measurement of a device under test in a far-field environment is provided. The system comprises a communication unit adapted to establish a far-field connection with the device under test. The system further comprises a measuring unit adapted to measure a magnitude and a phase of at least two field components. Moreover, the system comprises a processing unit adapted to perform far-field to near-field and/or near-field to near-field transformation of the field components in order to calculate field components at a specific surface in the near-field of the device under test.
