Inkjet inks are provided, relating in particular to smear resistant inkjet inks, and even more particularly to smear resistant pigmented aqueous inkjet inks comprising polyurethane dispersions and self-dispersing pigments. The polyurethane dispersions have a glass transition temperature Tg greater than &#x2212;30 &#xb0; C. to less than about 35 &#xb0; C. and have at least one of the following thermal properties: loss modulus E&#x2033; of 1.7 to 5&#xd7;10pascals, and/or a peak tan delta is 0.23 to 0.65, where the glass transition temperature, peak tan delta and the loss modulus are measured by dynamic mechanical analysis on a film prepared from the polyurethane dispersion.

Smear resistant inkjet inks

This invention pertains to an ink for inkjet printing, in particular to an aqueous ink comprising a self-dispersing pigment colorant and certain soluble polymers which enhance print quality without compromising jetting performance.

Inkjet ink

The present invention provides an ink for inkjet printing. The ink contains an aqueous vehicle, a pigment colorant and an effective amount of a bleed control agent selected from benzyl glycerol, 3-phenoxy-1,2-propanediol and any combination thereof. The ink exhibits reduced intercolor bleed when printed, for example, on plain paper.

Pigmented inkjet ink comprising a bleed control agent

The present invention pertains to a magenta inkjet ink and to an inkjet ink set for inkjet printing comprising the magenta ink and further comprising a yellow and cyan inkjet ink. The magenta ink and the other inks in the ink set are characterized by the presence of certain specific colorants. The magenta ink comprises a certain magenta dye defined in the specification and either one or both of Acid Red 52 and Acid Red 249. The yellow ink comprises Acid Yellow 79 and one or any combination of Direct Yellow 169, Direct Yellow 86 and Acid Orange 33. The cyan ink comprises Direct Blue 199. The magenta ink and the ink set are particularly advantageous for printing on plain and photo-glossy paper.

Magenta inkjet ink and an inkjet ink set containing same

The present invention pertains to a yellow ink for inkjet printing and, in particular, to a yellow ink containing a combination of specific yellow colorants, namely Direct yellowand Acid Yellow. The present invention further pertains to ink set having this yellow ink. The ink and ink set are particularly advantageous for printing on plain and photo glossy paper.

Inkjet ink and ink set

The invention provides an ink for inkjet printing, comprising a self-dispersing pigment colorant and a bleed control agent selected from the group consisting of catechol, 4-methylcatechol and any combination thereof. The ink advantageously exhibits reduced intercolor bleed when printed, for example, on plain paper.

Aqueous inkjet ink comprising a bleed control agent

The present invention provides an ink for inkjet printing, comprising an aqueous vehicle, a pigment colorant and an effective amount of 3-butoxypropylamine as a bleed control agent. The ink exhibits reduced intercolor bleed when printed, for example, on plain paper.

The present invention pertains to an aqueous-based black inkjet ink comprising a mixture of Direct Black 168, Acid Blue 290 and a certain magenta dye. The ink exhibits good color neutrality and gray scale.

Black inkjet ink

The present invention pertains to an inkjet ink comprising performance additives and to an ink set comprising this ink, wherein the performance additives alleviate bleed in multicolor printed elements.

The present invention pertains to a yellow ink for inkjet printing and, in particular, to a yellow ink comprising a combination of specific yellow colorants. The present invention further pertains to an ink set comprising this yellow ink. The ink and ink set are particularly advantageous for printing on plain paper.

An improved transparent media for ink printing is described. The media is a phase change ink recording media comprising: a polyethylene terephthalate support; a 1-15 mg/dm lower receptor layer coated on the support wherein the lower receptor layer comprises: silica with a particle size of no more than 0.3 &mgr;m and a polymer; wherein the total weight of the polymer and the silica is 82-97%, by weight, silica and 3-18%, by weight, polymer. The media also comprises an optional upper receptive layer comprising a matrix polymer, an inorganic particulate material and a soft polymer matrix.

Transparent media for phase change ink printing

A recording media for phase change ink recording comprising: a support; 30-200 mg/dm of a receptive layer coated on the support wherein the receptive layer comprises: a binder comprising: a water soluble polymer; and a water insoluble polymer; wherein the combined weight of the water soluble polymer and the water insoluble polymer comprises at least 50%, by weight, and no more than 95%, by weight, water insoluble binder; and an optional inorganic particulate material. The media has an island size of no more than 15 &mgr;m and an asperity of 5.0 to 6.2 &mgr;m which is formed by controlling the drying rate.

Structured media for phase change ink printing

An improved transparent media for ink printing is described. The media is a phase change ink recording media comprising: a polyethylene terephthalate support; a 1-15 mg/dm,lower receptor layer coated on the support wherein the lower receptor layer comprises: silica with a particle size of no more than 0.3 &mgr;m and a polymer; wherein the total weight of the polymer and the silica is 82-97%, by weight, silica and 3-18%, by weight, polymer.
