A laundry treatment appliance includes a cabinet; a tub positioned within the cabinet; a drum rotatably provided within the tub; a drain pump in fluid communication with the tub, the drain pump being positioned at a bottom of the cabinet; a pressure chamber attached to and in fluid communication with the drain pump; a pressure sensor operably connected with the pressure chamber; and a controller operably connected with the pressure sensor, the controller configured to perform an operation. A method of operating a dryer appliance is provided that includes obtaining washer operating parameters from a washing machine appliance that is linked to the dryer appliance and obtaining dryer operating parameters of the dryer appliance. These parameters are transmitted to a remote server along with a user input such as a selected dryness level. The method further includes receiving operating instructions from the remote server and adjusting at least one operating parameter of the dryer appliance based on the operating instructions.
