An oil burner pump that includes a housing having a filter cartridge chamber that has an access opening which is closable by a removable cover. A filter cartridge is removable inserted into the chamber and is securable to the cover to be removed from the chamber when the cover is removed. The cartridge has opposite end portions and filter fabric extended between the opposite end portions, one of the end portions being removably securable to the cover.

In order to prevent dripping in an oil supply system for a burner nozzle there is provided a pump stop valve in the supply line that connects the pressure outlet of the pump to the burner nozzle and a nozzle shut-off valve in the supply line between the pump stop valve and the nozzle. A circulating valve is provided in parallel to the pump stop valve to open when the pressure between the pump stop valve and the nozzle shut off valve is higher than the pressure at the pump outlet. As a result if the oil in the supply line adjacent the nozzle expands, oil can return through the circulating valve to the line between the pump stop valve and the pump outlet.

The invention relates to an oil pump unit for a nozzle burner that includes a diaphragm type valve assembly located between a pump housing and a cover removably mounted by the pump housing. The valve assembly includes two or more diaphragm regulating valves or valve sections having an individual diaphragm therefor. The cover and housing together with the valve assembly defining a fluid circuit for controlling the flow oil to the burner nozzle conduit.

The invention relates to a diaphragm type valve assembly for a nozzle burner of a heating oil pump. This type of equipment two or more diaphragm type regulating valves or valve sections are utilized with each such valve or valve section having an individual diaphragm therefor. The improvement herein is for a valve assembly having a plurality of diaphragm type valve sections but only a single diaphragm unit is used for all of the valve sections instead of a separate diaphragm for each valve section.

The invention relates to a magnetic valve assembly of the type in which a solenoid plunger upon excitation by a magnetic coil is displaceable against a housing end face having a valve seat. The plunger has a bore in which is disposed a closing element. A return spring in the plunger bore biasing the plunger away from the valve seat is between the far end of the plunger and a fixed abutment element which passes through the plunger. The plunger has a hole surrounding the abutment element which is sized to allow the plunger engage the valve seat and to limit the movement of the plunger away from the valve seat.
