Hearing system, accessory device, agent and method for situated design of a hearing algorithm of a hearing device is disclosed, the method comprising initializing a model comprising a parameterized objective function; providing one or more operating parameters indicative of the hearing algorithm to the hearing device; obtaining operating data comprising corresponding input data and output data of the hearing device; obtaining evaluation data indicative of user evaluation of the output data; determining one or more updated operating parameters based on the model, the operating data and the evaluation data; and providing the updated operating parameters to the hearing device.

Hearing system, accessory device and related method for situated design of hearing algorithms

A hearing aid system is provided that facilitates adjustment of signal processing parameters &#x3b8; of the hearing aid system with minimum user intervention, wherein the hearing aid system is capable of calculating signal processing parameters &#x3b8; for evaluation of the user when the user has entered an input, e.g. using a smartwatch, to this effect. The evaluation takes place for a certain time period and in the event that the user has entered a consent input indicating that he or she is pleased with the set &#x3b8; of signal processing parameters under evaluation, the hearing aid system continues processing with those signal processing parameters; and if the user is not pleased with the signal processing parameters &#x3b8; under evaluation, the hearing aid system calculates another set {circumflex over (&#x3b8;)} of signal processing parameters for evaluation of the user.

Automated scanning for hearing aid parameters

A method includes: initializing a model comprising a parameterized objective function based on first and second assumption on the objective function; obtaining an initial test setting; assigning the initial test setting as a primary test setting; obtaining a secondary test setting based on the model; outputting a primary test signal according to the primary test setting; outputting a secondary test signal according to the secondary test setting; obtaining a user input of a preferred test setting indicative of a preference for either the primary test setting or the secondary test setting; updating the model based on the primary test setting, the secondary test setting, and the preferred test setting; and in accordance with a determination that a tuning criterion is satisfied, updating at least one of hearing device parameters of a hearing device based on hearing device parameter(s) of the preferred test setting.
