Systems and implementations for inductance tuning systems that are configured to operate in a wide range of frequencies are provided herein. The subject matter described herein can in some embodiments include an inductance tuning system including at least one inductor connected to a first terminal, the at least one inductor comprising of a plurality of inductive elements that are substantially magnetically coupled to each other, wherein spacing between the inductive elements are substantially less than diameters of the windings. At least one capacitor can be connected between one or more of the plurality of inductive elements and a second terminal.

The present subject matter relates to devices, systems, and methods that provide a programmable filter response in a wireless frequency division duplex system. In particular, in some embodiments, a tunable diplex filter for such a system includes a first tunable filter in communication between an input node and a first output node, the first tunable filter being tunable to define a first tunable pass band configured to have a minimum pass band insertion loss at frequencies that are higher than a first reject band, and a second tunable filter in communication between the input node and a second output node, the second tunable filter being tunable to define a second tunable pass band configured to have a minimum pass band insertion loss at frequencies that are lower than the first reject band.

The present subject matter relates to filtering antenna devices, systems, and methods in which a tunable antenna having one or more first variable impedance element is configured to selectively vary an impedance at a signal path output and a tunable filter is in communication between the signal path output of the tunable antenna and a signal processing chain. The tunable filter can have one or more second variable impedance element configured to provide a frequency-selective filtering response between the signal path output and the signal processing chain. A controller in communication with both the tunable antenna and the tunable filter can be configured for selectively tuning an impedance value of one or more of the one or more first variable impedance element or the one or more second variable impedance element.

Filtering antenna systems, devices, and methods

The present subject matter relates to systems, devices, and methods for adaptively tuning antenna elements and/or associated filter elements to support multiple frequency bands. For example, a tunable filter having an input node and an output node can be selectively tunable to define one or more pass bands associated with one or more first signal bands and one or more reject bands associated with one or more second signal bands. The tunable filter can be configured to pass signals having frequencies within the first signal bands between the input node and the output node and to block signals having frequencies within the second signal bands. Furthermore, the tunable filter can be configured to selectively tune the pass bands to have a minimum pass band insertion loss at any of a variety of frequencies, including frequencies that are greater than and less than frequencies within the reject bands.
