A method for a wireless communication device including configuring an antenna including antenna circuitry to receive or transmit wireless signals; feeding a radio frequency signal into the antenna circuitry; providing a housing comprising a plurality of edges, wherein the edges comprise a top edge, a bottom edge, and two side edges, wherein a first edge of the housing comprises a conductive strip, a first slot, and a second slot, and wherein the first edge is the top or bottom edge; providing an input/output port adjacent to the first edge of the housing; and locating the conductive strip, which comprises a portion of the antenna, entirely between the first slot and the second slot, wherein a length of each of the first slot and the second slot extends across the first edge of the housing and is oriented perpendicular to a major axis of the conductive strip.

The disclosed embodiments provide a method and apparatus for protecting a critical computer system from malware intrusions. An isolator containing access approval features is disclosed. The isolator requires the approval of a Supervisor which can be a person with authority or an intelligent computer before a user can have access to the critical computer system. The isolator contains features used to facilitate cascaded encryption and decryption of messages which further enhances the security of the critical computer system. The isolator can greatly improve security of infrastructure such as industrial control systems, servers and workstations. The disclosed embodiments also provide a set of software and hardware features used to provide detection, prevention and recovery from a Cyber-attack in an Internet of Things installation.

Systems and methods for cybersecurity

System and method embodiments are provided for capacitive coupled loop inverted F reconfigurable multiband antenna. The embodiments enable tuning and adjustment of the low frequency response of the antenna without appreciably effecting the high frequency response of the antenna. The light grid structure comprises a frame and light-source assemblies and photo-detector assemblies. Each of the light-source assemblies and photo-detector assemblies is mounted on the frame such that each light-source assembly is on an opposite side of the frame than a corresponding photo-detector assembly, and each light-source assembly emits a light beam which is detected by its corresponding photo-detector assembly. The processor receives data that is based on outputs of the photo-detector assemblies. The data indicates light beam(s) which have been interrupted. Based on the data, the processor determines motion characteristic(s) of an object which interrupted the light beam(s), including an angle of incidence.

A preferred embodiment comprises a frequency synthesizer configured to provide a first carrier frequency and a second carrier frequency, an up-converter coupled to the frequency synthesizer and configured to up-convert a first baseband signal into a cellular uplink signal when receiving the first carrier frequency from the frequency synthesizer, and configured to up-convert the first baseband signal into a first device-to-device signal when receiving the second carrier frequency from the frequency synthesizer, and a down-converter coupled to the frequency synthesizer and configured to down-convert a second device-to-device signal into a second baseband signal when receiving the first carrier frequency from the frequency synthesizer, and configured to down-convert a cellular downlink signal into the second baseband signal when receiving the second carrier frequency from the frequency synthesizer.
