A compressor for producing compressed air, in particular for a compressed air supply system of a vehicle, includes an electric motor in the form of a brushed direct current electric motor. The compressor has at least one first and one second compressor step, which can be driven by the electric motor. The motor can be controlled by means of an electronic control module of a control device by limiting an operational flow of the motor.

Compressor for compressed air supply and pneumatic systems

A vehicle air suspension installation includes pneumatics configured for operation in conjunction with a compressed air supply installation, and comprises: a pneumatic line having a port connection to the air supply installation, air bellows, each serving as a pressure chamber for an air spring, one air bellows being connected to the pneumatic line via a directional solenoid valve, and the air bellows being fillable/bleedable depending on a switching state of the valve, and first and second directional valves forming a solenoid valve system, which has a pneumatic part that is actuatable by a magnetic part. The first directional valve forms a primary valve, and the second forms a secondary valve. First and second air bellows associated with the valve system are fillable/bleedable depending on the switching state of the primary and secondary valves. The primary and secondary valves are controllable by a controller of the magnetic part. The controller is common to and acts upon both valves.

Vehicle air suspension installation and operating method

A pressure medium supply arrangement for operating a pneumatic apparatus, comprises a pressure medium supply, a pressure medium connection, a vent connection and at least one pressure medium charging connection to the pneumatic apparatus, together with a suction line, a compressor line, a vent line and at least one pressure medium charging line. A charging apparatus is configured to simultaneously direct the pressurized pressure medium applied to the pressure medium charging connection, and the further pressure medium made available in the charging apparatus by the first compressor stage of a two-stage or multistage compressor, to the second compressor stage of the compressor.

Pressure medium supply arrangement

A compressed air supply device for operating a pneumatic system, such as a vehicle pneumatic suspension system, comprises a compressed air supply, a first pneumatic connection between the compressed air supply and the pneumatic system, the first pneumatic connection having an air desiccator, a throttle device, and at least one controllable isolating valve, and a second pneumatic connection pneumatically connected to the first pneumatic connection and to a vent connection leading to the surroundings, the second pneumatic connection having at least one controllable vent valve. According to one embodiment, the controllable isolating valve and the throttle device are arranged in series in the first pneumatic connection such that the controllable isolating valve can be switched into an open state when in a through-flow mode, and into a closed state when in an isolating mode.

Compressed air supply device and method

A compressed air supply assembly for operating a pneumatic assembly includes a compressed air supply; a compressed air connection to the pneumatic assembly; a purge connection to the environment; a pneumatic main line between the compressed air supply and the compressed air connection comprising an air dryer; a purge line between the compressed air connection and the purge connection; and a solenoid valve arrangement with a control valve to control a purge valve. The control valve is connected to a control valve connection in a pneumatic control line connected to a pressure control connection of the purge valve, and the purge valve is connected to a purge valve connection in the purge line. A pressure-maintaining device is connected to the pneumatic control line and maintains control pressure at the pressure control connection when the purge valve connection is open, independently of pressure in the purge line and/or the main line.

A pressure-maintaining device is connected to the pneumatic control line and maintains control pressure at the pressure control connection when the purge valve connection is open, independently of pressure in the purge line and/or the main line.

Compressed air supply system and control method

A vehicle suspension system that varies its shock absorption maximize comfort when compatible with safe handling. Level sensors are positioned to determine the position and attitude of the body of the vehicle in relation to its axles. An electronic regulator controls adjustable air springs to maintain the desired position and orientation of the body. Each air spring can be filled from a compressed-air supply to raise the body, and the system can also bleed air off to lower the body. The electronic regulator also accepts a signal from a double-differentiation device that is connected to the output of one of the level sensors. This signal is a measure of the acceleration of the body, and it is used to compute a bad-road parameter. The bad-road parameter also depends on the change in acceleration that occurs between successive measurements. The electronic regulator calculates a body-shock absorption requirement from the outputs of the level sensors and then uses the bad-road parameter to compute the total shock absorption required from the variable shock absorbers. On a bad road, when the body shock absorption is low, the total shock absorption is increased to provide better handling. When the body shock-absorption requirement is medium, the total shock absorption is lowered on a bad road to increase comfort or safety of loaded goods. When the body shock-absorption requirement is high, safe handling takes precedence over comfort on a bad road, but the total shock absorption may need to be lowered to avoid damaging the suspension system.
