Mixing and kneading apparatus

In a kneader mixer for the thermal or chemical treatment of products in liquid, pasty and/or powdered form within a housing (1), a kneader shaft (20) which is provided with blade elements (25) and rotates around an axis of rotation (A) is arranged. Between the blade elements (25) there are kneading-support elements (27, 43) having in each case a foot (32) fastened on the housing. The blade element(s) (35) is (are) arranged in blade planes (E) perpendicular to the kneader shaft. In this connection, the foot (32) of the kneading-support element (27, 43) also lies in the plane (E) of the blade element(s) (25).

Kneader mixer

A lock for the loading and/or discharging of, in particular, not easily flowing, adhering bulk materials into or out of a pressurized or vacuum chamber through a discharge opening of a discharge housing, the operating chamber being adjoined by a housing having an inlet connector. Guided in this housing is a piston which transports the bulk material from the inlet connector to the discharge housing. During this procedure, the discharge housing is closed off in relation to the housing by an openable valve.

Lock for the loading and/or discharging of bulk materials

In the case of a continuously operating mixing kneader for the thermal or chemical treatment of products in liquid, pasty and/or pulverulent state in a housing, there is arranged in this housing, running axially, a kneader shaft (20), which is equipped with disk elements (25) and kneading bars (40) and rotates about an axis of rotation (z). Said kneader shaft effects the transporting of the product in the direction of transport (x). Between the disk elements (25) there are provided kneading counter-elements (33), fixed to the housing (1), the disk elements (25) being arranged furthermore in disk planes (42) perpendicularly to the kneader shaft and forming between them free sectors, which create kneading chambers with the disk plane (42) of adjacent disk elements (25). In this arrangement, the kneading bars (40) are intended to be arranged on a positive or negative offset line (43 or 44) in the kneading chambers between two disk planes (42). In the case of a positive offset line (43), each kneading bar (40 ) respectively assigned to two disk elements (25) is followed, counter to the direction of rotation (z), by a kneading bar assigned to the next two disk elements of the kneading chamber (28) following in the direction of transport (x), whereas the negative offset line (44) runs in the direction of rotation (z) and the direction of transport (x).

Continuously operating mixing kneader

In a mixing kneader for the mechanical and/or thermal treatment of products, there is a shaft (16) arranged in a housing (1), on which shaft disk segments (21) are avoided distributed in the axial direction. In the kneading spaces (24) between the disk segments (21) there are fixed kneading counter-elements (27), which clean the disk segments (21) and shaft (16) and comprise a section (30), running close to the disk segments (21), and an arm (31), running close to the circumferential surface (37) of the shaft (16). In order that the section and the arm can give way to excessive product encrustations on the shaft, a center line (N) of the section (30) close to the disk segments (21) is to run at an inclination, in the direction of rotation (Z) of the shaft (16), corresponding to a secant through the shaft (16). Something similar also applies to the center line (O) of the arm (31) and to a leg (28) adjoining the section (30) at the other end from the arm (31). This has the effect that the formation of product bridges is also provided and the product conveyance and mixing action are improved. In addition, the mechanical stressing of the kneading element and the taking up of torque by the shaft are reduced.

Mixing kneader

A kneader-mixer performs mechanical, thermal and/or chemical processes with products which are in the liquid, viscous-pasty and/or free flowing state and includes an elongated hollow casing having an axis of elongation and having axially separated product inlet and product outlet ports. The casing has an inner wall. A kneading shaft in the casing is aligned with the axis and is rotatable thereabout. A plurality of kneading arms secured to the shaft extend radially outward therefrom in the casing. The arms are spaced axially along the shaft. A plurality of flat disc elements are disposed in the casing and lie in spaced parallel planes disposed at right angles to the shaft. Each element defines a circular sector spaced from the shaft and is secured to the inner wall of the casing. Each element is disposed adjacent a kneading arm which cleans the adjacent surface of the element as the shaft rotates. Each disc has secured thereto in a position adjacent but spaced from the shaft a corresponding axially extending kneading counter element. The counter elements are spaced from each other and, as the shaft rotates, function as shaft scraping blades as well as carrying out axial and radial product transfer. Each kneading arm passes between two adjacent counter elements. Each counter element has at each end a radially extending lateral edge which cleans the lateral face of the adjacent kneading arm as the shaft rotates.

Kneader-mixer

Kneader-mixers for mechanical and thermal treatment of products in different state forms, comprising a heatable cylindrical casing and a kneader shaft with heatable disk elements revolving therein and on which are arranged kneading blades scraping the inner wall of the casing. During mixing, these stirring elements cooperate with the hook-like kneading counterelments cleaning the stirrer surfaces and fixed in the casing. In each counterelement an arm forms a kneading gap with the casing wall, while second and third arms clean the disks and shaft. Each radial scraper for each disk element has at least two separate scraping edges, which subdivide the product into two product flows and through the inclined position of the kneading counterelements the scraped product acquires a powerful axial and radial transport component.

The stirrer vessel and stirrer shaft of a stirring apparatus are heated and carry an enamel coating on the surfaces coming into contact with the product. In order to prevent destruction of this enamel coating when the stirrer shaft is severely stressed, elastic intermediate members are arranged between a rigid support shaft and a shaft casing. The stuffing box is also held on the stirrer vessel by a further elastic intermediate member. An elastic packing between the fixed part of the stirrer vessel and the vessel cover fixed to the drive casing balances forces which are transferred from the vessel wall to the drive casing.
