A method and apparatus for generating a profile page. A computer system identifies a group of potential profiles images from an image. The computer system identifies a group of features in the image. The computer system generates the profile page based on a potential profile image selected from the group of potential profile images and the group of features in the image. The computer system displays the profile page on a display system, enabling generating the profile page.

Profile generator

A method and apparatus for migrating data. A computer system locates information about a structure used to store the data in a source database. The computer system identifies similarities between first columns in the source database and second columns in a destination database based on column names and compatible data types in the information. The computer system also displays suggestions for matches between the first columns in the source database and the second columns in the destination database on a display system based on the similarities identified. Further, the computer system receives user input to the suggestions, enabling reaching a desired level of matching to migrate the data from the source database to the destination database.

Data migration system

A method and apparatus for facilitating networking in a social network. A computer system identifies a group of features in an image for a person in the social network. The computer system also identifies a characteristic for networking from the group of features. Further, the computer system identifies a set of people in the social network having the characteristic. The computer system also performs an action enabling networking in the social network with respect to the person and the set of people in the social network having the characteristic.

Networking in a social network

A method and apparatus for providing assistance for an application. The application runs in a web browser displayed on a display system for a client device. The application monitors for user input to the web browser. When assistance is needed for a location in the web page, the location is identified based on the user input. A graphical element with a portion of the web page at the location is generated. A group of audio files on how to use the application at the location is identified. The graphical element with the portion of the web page at the location is displayed on the display system. The audio files are played on the client device while the graphical element with the portion of the web page at the location of the web page is displayed. The audio files and the graphical element provide the assistance.

Contextual assistance system

A method and apparatus for testing an application. The method displays, by a computer system, simulations of a graphical user interface for the application for a group of different types of devices on a display system. The method further displays, by the computer system, a group of controls in the graphical user interface displayed in the group of different types of devices on the display system. The method still further displays, by the computer system, a change to the graphical user interface in all of the simulations when a user input manipulates a control in a simulation in the simulations. A testing of the graphical user interface for the application for the group of different types of devices is enabled.

Multiple device testing system

A method for accessing information. Sections in a sunburst chart are displayed, by a computer system, in a graphical user interface in a display system. The sections represent the information and are displayed hierarchically in concentric circles. A section within an angle defined by an inner section relative to the section is associated with the inner section. A text search control is displayed, by the computer system, in the graphical user interface. The text search control receives text through user input. A selection of a plurality of sections displayed in the graphical user interface is identified, by the computer system, from the user input to the text search control. The plurality of sections in a different one of the concentric circles is emphasized, by the computer system, in the graphical user interface. The plurality of sections is associated with each other and enables increased efficiency in viewing the information.

Chart navigation system

A method for visually accessing information. A computer system displays pie charts in a graphical user interface in a display system. The pie charts have sections that represent pieces of the information, and each of the pie charts represents a type of the information. The computer system receives a user input selecting a portion of the sections from the pie charts displayed in the graphical user interface. The computer system displays a new pie chart in the graphical user interface using the portion of the sections selected by the user input. The new pie chart has new sections representing selected pieces of the information corresponding to the portion of the sections. The new sections have sizes based on a policy, and the sizes for the new sections indicates relative values of the pieces of the information with respect to each other. The new pie chart enables visually accessing the information.

Pie chart based information management system

A method and apparatus for identifying a relative importance of words in a word cloud. A computer system identifies graphical features and locations for the words representing information in the word cloud based on a group of metrics for the information. The graphical features distinguish the words from each other based on a first number of first values for a first metric in the group of metrics. The locations of the words distinguish the words from each other based on a second number of second values for a second metric in the group of metrics. The word cloud is displayed on a display system using the graphical features and the locations for the words in the word cloud in graphical user interface, which enables identifying the relative importance of the words in the word cloud based on the group of metrics for the information represented by the words.
