The invention provides an archival storage system for shielding magnetic media from a full spectrum of electromagnetic fields, static electricity, and humidity. Full spectrum EMF shielding may be achieved by providing the storage container with a continuous conductive layer along or on an interior region of the storage container. Also, shielding against intense, low frequency magnetic fields may be provided by a ferrous metal sheet, separated from the stored magnetic media by an insulator, which has been placed a plane generally perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the reels of a videotape or floppy disk. Further, a moisture seal may be provided to prevent moisture from reaching the stored magnetic media and thereby enhance the longevity of the stored magnetic media, and a desiccant may be provided to maintain or stabilize a low humidity environment within the storage case.

A highway sign includes a reflective back surface and a biased lenticular lens front surface for reflecting light back in the direction of the original light source. The reflective back surface preferably comprises a plurality of corner cubic reflectors arranged in a regular matrix. The biased lenticular lens front surface comprises arcuate surfaces, or flat surfaces having arcuate indentations, separated by relatively flat surfaces which are substantially perpendicular to the plane of the reflective surface and which form a saw-toothed pattern when seen in profile. Printing can be applied to the lens surface to form traffic control messages or indicia. The biased lenticular front surface diffuses the oncoming light, thus providing a uniform reflective surface. The reflective surface and biased lenticular lens system can be formed from a single integrated sheet of polycarbonate plastic or similar material. The sign is relatively inexpensive to manufacture, substantially waterproof and effective in reflecting light back in the direction of an oncoming automobile.

A method of providing clean air to a workpiece comprises positioning the workpiece adjacent to a first opening in a conduit. The conduit includes a central segment and a peripheral segment having, respectively, the first opening and a second opening disposed at opposite ends of the conduit. The peripheral segment surrounds the central segment such that the first opening is substantially coplanar with the second opening. A laminar flow of air is created through the conduit in a direction away from the second opening and toward the first opening. The air flow is filtered through a HEPA filter supported within the conduit.
