A wireless sound device capable of effectively receiving a command that meets a user's intention without an error despite a user input unit having a limited size, and a method for controlling the same. The wireless sound device includes a wireless communication unit for wireless communication with an external device, a touch sensor for sensing a touch input of a user in a touch standby mode, a force sensor for sensing a force based on the touch input, a sound output unit for outputting an audio signal received from the external device, and a controller that controls a touch mode of the wireless sound device to be switched to a touch accepting mode or a touch ignoring mode in response to the touch input, and, when a touch validity of the touch input is positive, the controller controls the touch mode to be switched to a touch accepting mode or a touch ignoring mode based on a force validity of the touch input.

Wireless sound device and method for controlling the same

A mobile terminal including a display; a touch sensor overlapped with the display and configured to detect a touch input; and a controller configured to detect a first tap input applied on the touch sensor in state of a deactivated display and the touch sensor being periodically driven with a second period; determine a region of the display that corresponds to the first tap input; detect a second tap input applied on the touch sensor in state of the deactivated display within a predefined time period from the first tap input; determine if the second tap input is applied within the region; if the second tap input is applied within the region and within the predefined time period from the first tap input, activate the display and periodically drive the touch sensor with a first period shorter than the second period; and if the second tap input is applied to a spot outside the region, maintain the deactivation of the display and periodically drive the touch sensor with the second period.

Mobile terminal performing a different operation based on a type of a tap applied to a display and control method thereof

An electronic device including a display; a touch sensor; and a controller configured to activate the display and periodically drive the touch sensor with a first period; in response to a first tap input applied on the touch sensor in state of the activated display, determine a region of the display that corresponds to the first tap input; in response to a second tap input applied on the touch sensor in state of the activated display within a predefined time period from the first tap input, determine if the second tap input is applied within the region; deactivate the display and periodically drive the touch sensor with a second period greater than the first period when the second tap input is applied within the region of the display that corresponds to the first tap input; and maintain the activation of the display and periodically drive the touch sensor with the first period when the second tap input is applied to a spot outside the region of the display that corresponds to the first tap input.

Disclosed is a mobile terminal including: a display unit; a touch sensor configured to sense a tap applied to the display unit; and a controller configured to control at least one of functions executable in the mobile terminal when a tap corresponding to a pre-set scheme is applied to the display unit, wherein the touch sensor is formed to sense the tap by using different schemes in an activated state or deactivated state of the display unit.
