A surveillance system in which a network camera communicates with a client device via a gateway is provided. The network camera includes: at least one processor configured to implement a packet generator which generates a plurality of data packets, each including at least one of image data and audio data, and constitute a multi-data packet including the data packets; a memory configured to store at least a portion of the data packets; and an input/output interface through which the packet generator transmits the multi-data packet to a gateway or client device, wherein, in response to receiving an indication that a transmission error has occurred to at least one data packet among the data packets constituting the multi-data packet, the packet generator further generates a target data packet including the data packet from the stored data packets, and transmits the target data packet to the gateway or client device.

Surveillance system including network camera and gateway and method of driving the same

A camera system including a camera and a gateway connected to the gateway through a channel is provided. The camera includes: a radio frequency (RF) module connected to the gateway through the channel, and configured to receive a beacon periodically sent from the gateway, the beacon including channel information about a next channel to which the channel is to be changed for connecting the camera and the gateway; and a controller configured to determine whether the beacon is received at the RF module, and change the channel to another channel based on at least one of: a predetermined order of a plurality of channels including the other channel; a status of receiving the beacon at the RF module; and a channel check response received from the gateway in response to a channel check request sent from the radio frequency module, the channel check response comprising channel information about one of the plurality of channels.

Camera system and method of controlling the same

A method of sampling feature points, an image matching method using the same, and an image matching processor are disclosed. The method of sampling feature points for image matching includes: dividing a first image into a plurality of regions corresponding to a number of feature points to be sampled; extracting a sampled feature point from each of the regions such that a distance between a sampled feature point of one region and a sampled feature point of another region satisfies a predetermined condition; and estimating a homography on the basis of the extracted sampled feature points and corresponding sampled feature points of a second image to be matched with the first image.

Provided is an image fusing apparatus for fusing a thermal image and a visible image of a subject. The image fusing apparatus includes: a determination processor configured to determine importance of each pixel, based on a luminance value thereof, of the thermal image and the visible image; a pixel coefficient setting processor configured to set a pixel coefficient for each pixel of the thermal image based on the importance of each pixel of the thermal image and the visible image; a thermal image processor configured to generate another thermal image by applying the pixel coefficient to the luminance value of each pixel of the thermal image; and an image fusing processor configured to fuse the other thermal image and the visible image to generate a fused image.
