A display device including a display panel including a base layer, a circuit layer disposed on the base layer, and a pad part having a plurality of pads disposed on the base layer; and a driving chip disposed on the pad part and including a plurality of chip pads. The plurality of pads include a first pad having a smaller area than a corresponding chip pad among the plurality of chip pads and a second pad electrically connected to the circuit layer.

Display device including a pad where a driving chip is mounted

A display apparatus includes a substrate including a display area and a non-display area, a display element layer, a pad group, a touch electrode layer, and a touch insulation layer. The display element layer includes display elements disposed in the display area. The pad group is disposed on the substrate and includes output pads disposed in the non-display area. The output pads include central output pads and outer output pads disposed outside the central output pads in a first direction. The touch electrode layer is disposed on the display element layer. The touch insulation layer is disposed on the display element layer and contacts the touch electrode layer. A groove pattern is defined in the touch insulation layer overlapping the non-display area, and does not overlap at least a predetermined number of the outer output pads in a second direction.

The display apparatus comprises: a substrate comprising a bending area located between a first area and a second area and bent in the bending area; a display unit arranged over an upper surface of the substrate and located in the first area; a protection film located over a lower surface of the substrate and comprising a protection film base and a viscous layer, the protection film base not directly contacting the substrate; and a bending protection layer comprising a first bending protection layer and a second bending protection layer and corresponding to the bending area, wherein the protection film has an opening corresponding to the bending area or at least a part of the first area and the second area, wherein the first bending protection layer is arranged over at least a part of a boundary of the opening or over an outside of the boundary of the opening, and at least a part of the second bending protection layer is arranged over an inside of the boundary of the opening, and wherein a height of one point of the first bending protective layer is higher than a height of one point of the second bending protective layer.

Provided is an electronic device including a display panel including a base substrate, pixels, a first insulation layer, and panel pads spaced along a first direction from pixels and each arranged along a second direction crossing the first direction, a circuit board disposed on the display panel and connected to panel pads, and an adhesive interconnect layer disposed between the display panel and the circuit board and electrically connecting the display panel and the circuit board. The circuit board includes a flexible substrate including a top surface facing the base substrate, output pads disposed on the flexible substrate and connected to panel pads, each obliquely extending in the first and second directions and arranged along the second direction, an alignment pad spaced along the second direction from output pads, and a stress relaxation pad disposed between output pads and alignment pads and electrically insulated from panel pads.

A display apparatus includes a display panel, a driving integrated circuit (IC), and an anisotropic conductive film. The display panel includes a non-display area adjacent to a display area and an upper substrate and a lower substrate. The driving IC overlaps the non-display area. The anisotropic conductive film attaches the driving IC to the lower substrate and includes conductive balls with diameters that gradually increase toward the display area.

The touch pad includes: a first conductive pad; and a second conductive pad on the first conductive pad, and having an area less than an area of the first conductive pad.

The display apparatus includes: a substrate including a bending area located between a first area and a second area and bent in the bending area; a display unit arranged over an upper surface of the substrate and located in the first area; a protection film located over a lower surface of the substrate and including a protection film base and a viscous layer; and a bending protection layer including a first bending protection layer and a second bending protection layer and corresponding to the bending area, wherein the protection film is located over the lower surface of the substrate and has an opening corresponding to the bending area or at least a part of the first area, and wherein the first bending protection layer is arranged over at least a part of a boundary of the opening or over an outside of the boundary of the opening, and at least a part of the second bending protection layer is arranged over an inside of the boundary of the opening.
