The method comprises the steps of preparing a precursor solution by mixing strontium nitrate (Sr(NO)), tetraethyl orthosilicate (TEOS), and europium oxide (Eu) with each other, forming a gel by heating the precursor solution, drying the gel specimen, performing calcination by removing water and organic materials from the dried gel, and preparing a phosphor by reducing the Eu of the gel.

The light emitting device includes a body; a first light emitting diode for emitting a light having a first main peak in a wavelength range of a first color; a second light emitting diode for emitting a light having a second main peak in the wavelength range of the first color; and a plurality of lead electrodes electrically connected to at least one of the first and second light emitting diodes on the body. The first main peak of the first light emitting diode and the second main peak of the second light emitting diode have a wavelength difference of at least 75% based on the wavelength range of the first color.
