A plasma display device including a plasma display panel, a chassis base having a first surface adjacent to which the plasma display panel is attached, a boss mounted in the chassis base, and a printed circuit board assembly that is supported by the boss and disposed adjacent to a second surface of the chassis base opposite to the first surface, wherein the boss includes a pressing groove, a portion of the chassis base is fitted into the pressing groove by pressing the boss and the chassis base together, and a front inner surface of the pressing groove has a slope, so as not to be parallel with a centerline of the boss.

Plasma display device

A heat dissipation apparatus for use with a plasma display device and a method of conducting the heat generated in the plasma display panel and the driving ICs of the plasma display device to various surfaces of the device for dissipation to air. A first heat sink is disposed between the plasma display panel and the chassis base. The first heat sink is positioned at a first region where the heat generated from the driver ICs is substantially concentrated. A second heat sink is positioned at a second region between the plasma display panel and the chassis base where the heat generated by the plasma display panel is substantially concentrated. A number of additional thermal conduction media are also used in the various embodiments of the invention.

Heat dissipating apparatus for plasma display device

A plasma display apparatus including a PDP, a supporting plate behind the PDP, and joining members connecting the PDP and the supporting plate by passing through the PDP and the supporting plate. The supporting plate supports the PDP and includes a reinforcing frame having at least one opening facing an area surrounded by the edge of the PDP and a molding encompassing the reinforcing frame to close the opening.

Exhaust pipe protecting tip and plasma display module including the same

A display device including a display panel, a chassis base connected to the plasma display panel, the chassis base supporting the plasma display panel, and a flexible printed circuit having a driver integrated circuit thereon installed on the chassis base while being pressed by a protective plate. A step structure is formed on the chassis base where the flexible printed circuit is attached. Furthermore, the flexible printed circuit area where the driver integrated circuit is placed may be in contact with a heat dissipating material located in an accommodating portion formed in the chassis base.

Display device and heat dissipating means therefor

A plasma display apparatus includes a plasma display panel and a chassis base extending substantially parallel to the plasma display panel. The chassis base has a driving circuit mounted thereon in opposition to the plasma display panel. A driver IC faces the chassis base, and is packaged in a film-shaped assembly. A thermal conduction medium is disposed and solidified between the driver IC and the chassis base so as to dissipate the heat generated at the driver IC.

Plasma display apparatus having heat dissipating structure for driver integrated circuit

A display apparatus dissipates heat efficiently from a tape carrier package driver integrated circuit providing an address voltage to a display panel. The display apparatus includes a display panel, a chassis base, a driving circuit, an flexible printed circuit electrically connecting electrodes of the display panel to the driving circuit, and a driver integrated circuit connected through the flexible printed circuit to the display panel, the driver integrated circuit providing a voltage selectively to the electrode of the display panel in accordance with signals controlled by the driving circuit. A thermally conductive medium in liquid-phase or gel-phase is placed between the driver integrated circuit and the chassis base. A pressing plate is placed on the outside of the driver integrated circuit opposite to the chassis base, the pressing plate pressing the driver integrated circuit toward the chassis base for good contact and heat dissipation. A thermally conductive medium is placed between the pressing plate and the driver integrated circuit.

Display apparatus having heat dissipating structure for driver integrated circuit

A plasma display device that enhances heat dissipation from a Plasma Display Panel (PDP) and additionally increases the efficiency in heat dissipation from driving circuit boards includes: a chassis base having a plate portion and a side portion; a Plasma Display Panel (PDP) adapted to be attached to a first side of the chassis base; and driving circuit boards adapted to be attached to the plate portion on a second side of the chassis base, the second side of the chassis base being opposite to the first side of the chassis base; wherein the side portion is bent toward the PDP on an edge of the plate portion and includes air vents; and wherein the side portion includes a flange consisting of a bent edge of the side portion, the flange adapted to be attached to an edge of the PDP.
