A raw material composition for producing oxygen carriers includes a first component which is one or more of nickel oxide and nickel hydroxide and a second component which is one or more of boehmite, cerium oxide, cerium hydroxide, magnesium oxide, magnesium hydroxide, and titanium oxide, wherein, when the first component is nickel oxide, the second component includes cerium hydroxide. Such a raw material composition for producing oxygen carriers of the present invention is formed into oxygen carriers according to an oxygen carrier producing method, which will be described below, by adjusting the composition, formulation of raw materials, and degree of homogenization. Then, it is possible to produce oxygen carriers having physical properties such as a shape, a particle size, and a particle distribution suitable for a fluidized bed process or a high speed fluidized bed process and having improved wear-resistance, long-term durability, and oxygen transfer performance.

A carbon dioxide separator includes an absorption tower for producing a carbon dioxide-rich absorbent and a carbon dioxide-depleted flue gas by reaction of a carbon dioxide-containing flue gas and an absorbent contained therein; a regeneration tower for removing the carbon dioxide-rich absorbent transferred from the absorption tower in the presence of the flowing gas to separate the same into a carbon dioxide-rich treatment gas and a carbon dioxide-lean absorbent; and a separation membrane module for selectively membrane-separating and concentrating the carbon dioxide, wherein the carbon dioxide-containing flue gas is transferred to the absorption tower as a carbon dioxide-lean flue gas obtained via the separation membrane module, and the flowing gas is transferred to the regeneration tower as the carbon dioxide-rich flue gas obtained via the separation membrane module from the carbon dioxide-containing flue gas.

The present invention relates to an aqueous gas-converting catalyst composition comprising: an active component; a support; an inorganic binder; at least one accelerator selected from the group consisting of cobalt oxide, molybdenum oxide, nickel oxide, calcium oxide, barium oxide, strontium oxide, magnesium oxide, zirconium oxide, manganese oxide and barium titania; and at least one stabilizer selected from the group consisting of magnesium oxide, zirconium oxide, stabilized zirconia, and hydrotalcite. The catalyst according to the present invention can effectively capture and separate carbon dioxide due to the excellent physical properties thereof such as packing density and abrasion resistance, and high CO conversion. Also, according to the present invention, mass production is facilitated by applying a spraying technique, and overall costs are lowered because of high yield. Thus, the present invention can be applied as a low cost pre-combustion CO2 capturing technique to an integrated gasification combined cycle, fuel cells, coal liquefaction, compound production, and the like.

The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a carbon dioxide absorbent and to the absorbent manufactured by the method. The method comprises: (A) a step of preparing a slurry composition including a carrier composition containing a support, an inorganic binder, and a solvent; (B) a step of preparing solid particles by spray drying the thus-prepared slurry composition; (C) a step of manufacturing a carrier by dry calcining the thus-prepared solid particles; and (D) a step of receiving an amine compound into the pores of the thus-manufactured carrier. According to the absorbent of the present invention, an absorbing reaction and a regenerating reaction at a low temperature range (less than or equal to 100&#xb0; C. may be conducted, and therefore, the cost for capturing COin a dry capturing process may be expected to decrease.
