A method for controlling access to a plurality of computing resources in a distributed computing environment can comprise the steps of: an application role server, responsive to receiving a certificate request, authenticating the requester and issuing a digital certificate to the requester; an access control node, responsive to receiving a resource access request, granting access to the computing resource to the requester upon ascertaining the requestor's access privileges, or forwarding the resource access request to another access control node.

Role-based access control to computing resources in an inter-organizational community

A method of dynamically assigning a role to a user in a distributed computing environment can comprise the steps of: defining one or more roles and their respective threshold trust values; defining one or more attributes and their respective weight coefficients; determining current values of the attributes for the user; calculating a current level of trust for the user, based on the attribute values and the weight coefficients; and assigning a role to the user based on the current level of trust and the threshold values.

Active access control system and method

Methods for producing multilayered, oxidation-resistant structures on substrates are provided. The methods comprise depositing silicon dioxide on a substrate comprising molybdenum and boron and annealing the silicon dioxide at a temperature and for a time sufficient to form a coating comprising a borosilicate scale on the substrate.

The present invention relates to methods and systems for creating secure cookies. The methods can be used to create, receive, and transmit secure cookies, confidential cookies, and authentication cookies.

Secure cookies

The invention provides oxidation resistant coatings for transition metal substrates and transition metal alloy substrates and method for producing the same. The coatings may be multilayered, multiphase coatings or gradient multiphase coatings. In some embodiments the transition metal alloys may be boron-containing molybdenum silicate-based binary and ternary alloys. The coatings are integrated into the substrates to provide durable coatings that stand up under extreme temperature conditions.
